I'm planning a destination wedding in Cancun, Mexico at the Moon Palace Golf and Spa Resort. I have to say I'm very nervous doing trying to making arrangements from Ohio hoping that it all works out in Mexico! I don't get to speak to my WC until 2 months before the wedding date which makes it worse because I don't get to work on the flowers, or the cake or color schemes or the venue details until then!! Anyone else dealing with the same situation?

Hi Lawieland!

I'm also getting married at the Moon Palace.

Who is your contact in FL?

I felt the same way you did, so I asked the FL person if it was possible to talk to someone onsite as I needed prices for budgeting reasons. I wasn't able to get in touch with the person she gave me, so now she's acting as a middle man. I ask her things, she gets back to me with prices. It usually takes her about 24 hours to get back to me.

Let me know if you need help with anything, I might have some answeres for you.

Good luck and happy planning! There's a TON of info here!!!!!

I'm getting married at MP in 2 months and I agree with Deznchris, while you can't talk to the actual wedding coordinator, Florida office representatives are super helpful. They can get you most of the information you need working as a go-between you and the hotel. Just keep on them, they sometimes forget your questions. Feel free to ask if you have questions.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Try not to worry about the details. I know that is easier said than done but it will all work out perfectly. The Moon Palace is a beautiful resort and they know exactly what they are doing so you will be fine. Enjoy the rest of the planning.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
