We'll be getting engagement pictures taken (once we're officially engaged) and we're wondering how many copies of the pictures to get and who gets a pic? This seems like such a simple task, although with the amount of people we're inviting to the wedding, it's not feasible to send out the announcement with the engagement photo included. So who gets the pics and who will actually do something with them as opposed to just throwing it away? Should our family be the only ones to send them to?

    Thanks!

We received digital photos so we made a slideshow and sent it to our friends and family but didn't have prints made for anyone.. in fact, I'm not sure that we made prints even for ourselves! :)

I think depends how much you have to pay per print. I'd atleast send one to the parents & grandparents.

We just did snapshots with a friend so we sent everyone the pictures through shutterfly. They could order whatever they wanted. Then I made a photobook for our moms & gmas.

Thanks! The digital slideshow and the prints to order at polaroid or snapfish is a great idea and will definitely have to be put to use!

What about incorporating some pic into the invites? There have been a few invites posted that used an engagement pic as the invite background.

You can use some of your prints at your Guestbook station / table.

Yes, thanks. Those are also some more great ideas by placing them by the guest book and on invitations.... thanks for all the great ideas!
