At first my FI was not so sure about the TTD session, but now he is okay with it. I have had to tell him a few times that not only does it not usually wreck your dress, but that my mom is making me another dress to use for it anyway!

I had a fun TTD session at the beach in Charleston last weekend. My (former) clients did it for their two year anniversary. It was lots of fun. I was already booked with two weddings that weekend, so we could only do it at a horrible time of day for lighting, but I think they still turned out nice.

I soooo want to use my dress, but grandma bought it (wedding present) and we are having an AHR when we return so grandma can see me in it....I know everyone says it doesn't wreck it, but with my luck...I just can't take that chance. So I am looking for a relatively cheap dress to use for the TTD pics. I can't wait for them!!!! FI is excited about doing them too! :)

I should just use my dress, not tell anyone and pray it doesn't get ruined....and let people find out at the AHR when they see the pics LOL

I am so excited for my TTD! Our photographer will be in Jamaica the whole week with us (friend of the family) so I will do the TTD before the actual wedding.

I did buy a second dress because mine was a little pricy and I don't want to take a chance on anything happening to it before our AHR. Since I have the second dress FI won't see me in mine before the wedding. I just ordered a bridesmaid dress in white. It was $150 but the boutique owner sold it to me for $50 when I told her the plan! She siad she had never heard of such a thing and to bring her back a photo!

I took the sash from a different dress. It came with a white and black sash, but those are easy enought to swap out!

I am soooo excited to do it, and FI seems a little more interested in it now too, which makes it even more exciting.

As for it being a fad, whether the fad stays for a long time or not, we will still be able to say that we were some of the first ones to do it. This isn't a fad that I could ever see anyone saying...'what were we thinking? Why would we have done that?". It is something that will always be a fun, exciting memory that we can share with others.

I really want to do a trash the dress session, but my photographer is charging me an extra grand to do it. We are already paying an arm and a leg for our pics in PV. I couldn't believe it. I think we might just have one of our friends with a really nice camera and some skills take our TTD pics. Anyone else find have this problem with the price?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
