We are doing it, but we haven't decided if we are going to get the photog to do it for us, or just get a couple of the wedding guests that like taking photos to do it. We are planning on doing an excursion to a little village a couple days after the wedding, and we are going to take my dress real dress and do pics there, but that won't be the same day as the TTD session.

As for the dress, my Mom is making me one that will be similar to my real dress, but lighter and more flowy. I wasn't sure about using the realy one just because we are having a AHR and my dress is white and teal, so I am not sure about what will happen to the coloured part or if it will run! I am playing it safe and doing the 2 separate dresses.

I can't wait!!!!

I searched on here and emailed a bunch of Cancun/RM photogrophers and asked for prices for a TTD session and suggestions on where we'd do it...as the Moon Palace has a no outside photog rule.

I'm going to get a second, cheaper dress for it. My dress cost a lot of $$ and I have to wear it again for the AHR. I know everyone said their dress didn't get ruined, but I can't take that chance.

I'm SO excited!!!!!
Can you PM me your price list when you get the information. I'm not sure if I have enough time to arrange this (2 months), but I would love to try. I was planning to do this when we got home. We have Lake Tahoe about an hour away, and it would be great to do it there, but it will not compare to Cancun and the ocean. Thanks.

When I think of TTD or Day after sessions I think of a dirty alley, bull ring, or sitting on some beautiful 150 year old stone steps. On a wedding day almost all of my brides want to keep the dress as clean as possible (of course) , so the day after sessions provide a photo op where we can go out, shoot and not have to worry about keeping clean.

Ditto..We have a Day after shoot scheduled in Jamaica and I am debating on whether to use my dress or get a nother one but I am leaning towards using my dress.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
