I was just in Michaels today and they have a few at $1. Plus, in there clearance area they marked some to .50

Last year they have beach/seashell themed ones and I only picked up for my BM at $1each. If you wait a bit they may come back with a more tropical theme

Thanks so much ladies!! bunny_4.gif The beaucoup 80cent candles are PERFECT. They are exactly the quantity and price that I have been looking for. I love also that I can either order the labels there or do them somewhere else.

Hi Jenetta,

I forgot to mention, my sister lives in Sterling Heights ,Michigan and I think she teaches in Southfield. I am planning on moving out to Michigan in November from NY. We are very excited about it and can't wait to get out there.

I used to work there in that city. That's a better area than near the city, in my opinion. Have you thought about where you might live?

Tammy is in a great area too (Wolverine Lake/Novi) in close proximity to Southfield but complete other side from Sterling Heights. Good luck to you! I miss Michigan sometimes but with the auto industry in poor condition it's hard to know what's going to become of my beloved state/greater Detroit area.

The people are very friendly though. I don't knwo how Long Island is but it defiantely beats Manhattan.

Keep me posted, as well as TammyM and Sarah.

We are still trying to finalize what area we will be moving to. We we were contemplating buying downtown Detroit since it seems to be turning over like Harlem did not to long ago, but then we are not sure because I grew up in the suburbs all of my life and my fiance is from Harlem and he is not too keen on going back to "city" life. So we may just rent for a while to figure out what fits us best. I am so saddened that the auto industry is in such a downward spiral and everybody is loosing their jobs. My brother in law's mom has worked for Ford for many years and they are constantly trying to buy her out. I will be graduating in May with my Masters in Social Work so I am thinking one of the unfortunate consequences of the economy going down will be that there will be many jobs for social workers to try to help out.

I will definately keep you posted.
