Ok having another panic attack. Now my TA just emailed me and told me the resort is completely sold out from May 25th on over the memorial day weekend!! UGHHHH so now trying to tell people to book before our wedding instead of staying after. I thought this was all suppose to be easy. I am trying really hard to be laid back!!!

Two more weeks - exciting!!!!  Hope you have everything pretty much done so you can enjoy the excitement instead of being stressed.  And congrats on picking up the dress - that certainly has to make it more "real".

Try not to be stressed.  There is nothing you can do about the situation other than to tell any unbooked guests what is going on and encourage them to get their butts in gear.  And remember that if need be guests can stay at another resort and have a day pass for the wedding.  Just breathe....

One suggestion - can your travel agent check to see if there are any groups with blocks of rooms reserved for that time that may be releasing a few rooms?  For my wedding in early November, my release date for any unbooked rooms is mid-August.  So MAYBE ~ 2.5 months before your wedding there might be some rooms that open up.

Do you have a room block? If you do then you will be fine. Most of our party wanted to stay until may 27th that was the problem. Now I have extended our room block to include May18th to the 25th so we just have to convince everyone to stay longer before the wedding. Our TA was directly in contact with Dreams it just filled up really fast.

No we did not have any room blocked. I thought about it but we are not using a TA and everyone is booking through websites. I was hoping a little before arriving in Cancun, to inform the hotel the number of people in our party so they can have us close by.

Will you be using Dreams to create your centerpieces? i am planning to create my own but purchase flowers there

I am making all my centerpieces and splitting them up among family members to bring down, it was just to expensive for flowers and centerpieces from Dreams. Really simple centerpieces are all i am going for. How many people are coming to your wedding?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
