i wore a veil, and we did the twist and tuck for the ceremony - it worked ot just fine, and it was easy to untuck and let it blow in the breeze immediately after, it wasnt uncontrolably windy on our day at the gazebo either.

veils are sometimes very delicate, and i would worry about a pin putting a hole in it! especially if you have to wear it again at your AHR like i have to .....

Carolina!!!  I am so excited for you.  It's already almost time for your wedding?!?!  Time flies doesn't it?  I can't wait to hear all about it and see pictures.  You are going to be such a gorgeous bride.

I am so torn on the veil idea now.  I never, I repeat, never wanted a veil.  I could never justify spending so much money for a simple piece of mesh or tulle.  Besides, I thought it hid the train.  Now, after seeing a few different kinds, and now that my wedding is approaching, the thought keeps looming around that I will only get this one chance.  And now I feel like I might want one.  Ahhhh, i just want to save money and I keep finding more things I want to spend.  There is this gorgeous lace edged cathedral length veil with one of the newer Sottero & Midgley gowns.

Anywho, I just noticed that dreams updated their photo gallery, and there are some new pics of the gazebo.  One is a view of then gazebo from the new terrace.  Very nice!

Back to student teaching and no life  HAHA!

1. Veil: I also started not even wanting a veil, now I'm going crazy for the birdcage veils, then I wanted cathedral, now I want fingertip.  How to choose???  I'm not trying to spend more $$$ either, checking out recycledbride.com, some good deals there!

2.  Omgosh you guys, 4weeks??? That's nothing!!! I'm sooo excited for you!!!! Please take lots of pics and share with us!

3.  Thanks for the heads up on the new pics Chris...umm...what's up with the gazebo pic (5th pic from left top row).  That looks AMAZING...and yet I've never even seen those chairs used EVER on a wedding!  Soooo photoshopped.  Would it be too much to ask for them to REALLY make it look like that? Gorgeous!

Hi everyone. This is a little off topic but I need some help. I really want to wear high heels with my wedding dress and for the ceremony thats fine, but I am wondering what to do when taking pictures in the sand and by the lighthouse on the rocks...I don't want to kill myself trying to walk. I would prefer to not wear flip flops but maybe should to be practical. Whats everyone else doing?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
