Yes I got my hair and my make-up done at the spa and so did all of my bridesmaids. I don't remember the lady's name that did my hair but I personally thought they all did a great job (I think there is only 3 of them that work in there anyways). I did book a trial hair appointment two days before the wedding so that took some of the anxiety away too; I would suggest doing that. I would also bring a picture of what you have in mind so they have something to reference and because their english is not that great. I would also watch your timing- My appointment was at 1 and my ceremony was at 4; however I was supposed to be ready to go at 3:30 and I definately was not! My hair took probably an hour and a bit for them to do and then make-up was probably 30-40 mins. I would have liked to have time to get back to my room and have a glass of champagne with my bridesmaids and just chill for a few minutes but I was a bit rushed. My photographer was waiting for me at my room when I got there and so it was a rush to take pictures of me getting ready and get my dress on, etc. So my advice is to give yourself plenty of time; they sprayed the crap out of my hair so it definately wasn't going to fall out lol! And its nice just to have time to soak in the moment, make adjustments, have a drink!! :)

Dear Michelle: They are super friendly , Iam sure  they will help you with that but you can get the glue in Michaels  I dont think they have it available , the hotel is very limited in decor and items for decor....the glue is in Spray  and it is not very expensive ...in worst case escenario  let me know when is your wedding and I can drop a bottle for you, my designer can get it easily and it is unexpensive.

The aisle is pretty  large but  I would say 15 meters would look nice .

My Pleasure

I mean, if I handed them a runner like this would they simply take it and secure it themselves? Also, would I need to provide some sort of glue or would they already have materials like that on-hand?

Also, any idea on the size of the runner?

Thanks so much!!!

Hello Ladies: I wanted to make a quick note about  the cakes that we produce , all the orders should be done thorugh Claudia your WC , we bake the special wedding cakes for Dreams  because they know  our procedures and quality  and how clean our chef works....I didnt mean  that you can bring  any cakes with no vendor fee , or directly with me , all the cakes that we have done were order through Claudia. I am sorry ladies for any confusion!

I can give you general information in terms of flavors or design  etc...but the order by itself should be through Claudia or Ceci please.

I just wanted to help..Thank you!!

Thank you so much! I just wanted to say I didn't have any issues with bugs either and I would highly recommend Himitsu beach for your reception; it is smaller and more intimate and it is sheltered from the wind unlike the other beach. At Himitsu your reception will be quite close to the restaurant and just a few steps from the walking path so your grandma won't have to walk far at all. The beach is also close to the pyramid so if your guests are staying in that part of the hotel, they won't have far to go.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
