i have to say i like it better without the "lid" on it (as they had it set up for that wedding) ... they should quit while they're ahead! really, something about the open circle is like a wedding ring ... endless, eternal ... the illustration of the final version looks like a chinese hat.

oh, but please note that at ground level you do not see that huge rock jetty at all, just beautiful blue all around! so at least there's that! and, it looks like they finally centered the structural posts on the aisle ... they were off-center before.

THANK YOU THANK YOU for posting those pics....
have to agree with all of you...looks like a chinese hat and a ufo to me!!!
what the hell is it wrapped with around the ring?

definitely not as cute as the original....but nothing that a couple really nice flowers/greenery cant fix up!

so glad that something will be in place for you girls that are getting married in the next few weeks!!

It is very underwhelming....I think that maybe if they had of made the pillars thicker it would have looked alot better. To me it just looks ackward, but the location is still exactly the same, so you can't beat that :) + it is just an illustration....maybe the completed version will be more eye-catching??!!

Oh, & I think that the stuff wrapped around the actual one is temporary...looks like it will be all cement when finished...

I kind of like it without the "lid" as well. I actually think I like it a little better than the original. It's bigger...More '"Grand"......I think once you get there, you may change your mind.
I hope alot of you who were stressed feel a little better :)

OK...so because we are getting married in October & its hurricane season & will probably rain, my FI & I have decided that we want to upgrade our room. Does anyone know what room is the 2 level room...the one with its own living room?? We were just thinking that we'd like to have one of those rooms so there is enough room for our friends/family to come hang out if it rains etc...

Does anyone have a picture of the two level room or honeymoon suite...so i can compare?

Thanks for posting pictures! After looking at them about 20 times I think I've decided I like it. I had decorations made for the old one so I'm not sure how that will work out, but I'm sure I can figure something out. I wonder if they redid the gazebo so the angle during the ceremony didn't include the blocks? I like that you can't see that in any of the pictures above..

Thank you for posting those pics of the Gazebo. I'm not exactly sure what I think of it. It does look a little odd to me...Guess I will just wait to see the final product!

Darn, I like it the way it is. Open to the heavens. Now it kinda looks like the gazebo at Le Meridien Cancun. I'll be sad when it gets filled in. I'm not liking the yellow floor in the gazebo illustration and the roof looks like one of those little latex finger gloves (the ones you use to count money)

                      Hey Ladies,

Thanks for posting the pics of the gazebo, I feel alot better, I think all your positive vibes are rubbing off on me!...I was in tears 2 days ago trying to change hotel, which wasn't that easy as I only have a couple of weeks before I go!

Anyway, I am looking for some advice.please...

I posted a few days ago asking about entertainment in the evening, and some of you were very helpful..thank you!

I just want to hear what you are all doing after your wedding..

We are having a 5pm wedding
                      followed by cocktail party
                      follwed by meal until 10pm......

                      then what do we do??

We have the option to have a DJ/dance floor, but we only have 20 people going, and I think it could be a bit awkward and not much of an atmosphere..

any suggestions..please please share what your plans are?

                      Thank you!
