I used the floral centerpiece that they provided, but then brough additional centerpieces. (I did the long table setup)

I also brought a few other things, shells, starfish, etc... If you wanted to use fake flowers, they wouldn't have a problem with you bringing your own. I don't know about buying them off property though and bringing them in, I'm not sure what their rule is with that.

          I requested for a 2 layer cake.
It was $5 per person above the 20 pp that the Ultimate Package includes.
I got the strawberry cake (vanilla cake) and I thought it was pretty good. Not bad at all, but definitely not the best.

Remember to request to have the cake served to everyone and not just those who are sitting down. We had so much leftover cake since they did not serve anyone who weren't sitting on their table. Of course, most people are dancing and hanging outside since it was too hot on the lobby.

Thanks for your comments about the beach side setting reception. I think it would be so comfortable to be on the beach for the reception. My only concern is the darkness

If anyone else has had their reception on the beach at Dreams Cancun please let me know. I would love to hear all about it. What you liked and maybe what you would have done differently.

            Thanks everyone!

Remeber, they sell "Under Table Lighting" for I think 25 bucks each table. Based on some pictures I have seen, the lights are relatively bright and it shouldnt be too dark during dinner.

That's true about the lighting. I'm sure either way it will be beautiful! I'm really excited Gaby just e-mailed me the photographer and dj - I like what I see.
