On April 28th, Claudia (not Daniela) got back to my travel agent (I was having no luck getting responses) with this information:

"Unfortunately we donâ€t have available May 15th 2009, but I can offer you for May 2009: 5, 6, 7,10,11,12, 14, 18,19,20,21,26,27,28 and 31."

But now DANIELA finally responded (on June 14th to the email I sent in APRIL) with this:

"About your wedding dates, I have available: May 8th but just at 4pm; And I have May 15th but just at 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm or 6:00 pm.
If you are interest in any of those dates and times please let me know."

Sounds like Claudia was only booking one per day, and then Daniela will fill in for 2nd or 3rd weddings each day. You can see that per Claudia's email, May 8th and 15th were not available ... Daniela is offering those dates at specific times.

I've emailed her back asking why they are not doing as advertised on the website lol it'll be interesting to see what response I get, if any!! I've also asked to change it to 4pm lmao What a cow!! but I hate being bloody lied to.

I was thinking of changing it anyway but didn't want to mess anyone about but now screw it I want 4pm lol

I'm bloody furious now!! I might just email and say can I move the time of my ceremony that'll fuck them up lol

Thanks you're a star - sod the guests do what you want to do chick people will whinge no matter where you go - DO WHAT YOU WANT!!
I don't think they are really trying to squeeze in FOUR more weddings that day, just letting me know what's available? I hope? I didn't think they'd EVER do more than 2 per day. Can I ask what time your wedding is set for? I would want a HUGE gap between weddings if there was another on my day (though it might be funny to take photos together in our wedding dresses, haha)! And what if I chose 3:00, and wanted my reception on the terrace, but *your* reception was still going on therehuh.gif Then I would be forced to do mine on the beach, which simply isn't an option for my older guests. When would I find that outhuh.gif? After it was too late and I was months into planning and had sent out save the dates and everythinghuh.gif yikes!

LMAO at "sod the guests do what you want to do chick people will whinge no matter where you go - DO WHAT YOU WANT!!" ... so true!!

right hartyt509, so if your wedding was at 1pm at the gazebo with the reception at the tower terrace, and say mine was at 3pm, then i obviously could not have the tower terrace because your people would presumably still be partying there!

marrying in black at 1pm in mexicohuh.gif hot hot hot ... it's probably better that you change to 4pm! :)

if it's that important to you, i would contact them and specifically state that you wish to be the only wedding on your date, and that if they cannot guarantee that you will have to take your business elsewhere. don't sign anything or pay anything that doesn't outline the promise in writing.

that said, i don't think you're going to find many resorts that will commit to one wedding per day.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
