Dreams Cancun - Questions for those married here!

Recommended Posts

Has anyone that has returned from their wedding gotten those Waterford Champagne flutes? I just requested them, apparently you have to go to the web site and request them after you return from your wedding. They are free so I figured why not? They look pretty. I am more a Crate N Barrel kind of girl but I am going for it.

Thanks. I can't wait to post a full review for everyone. I am waiting to get all my pictures from Juan. Maybe in 3 weeks or so I willbe able to put my full review up. If u have any questions at all about anything ask and I will help as much as I can. I have no regrets for my wedding except that the videographer that came with my package was not fabulous. There was a lot of noise interference on it and they put in music that we did not request. We picked out all the songs we wanted and I think they only used one or two that we picked. If this aspect is important to you that I would look into hiring a company and paying a little extra money for that. Also I can't believe we forgot to have someone video tape the speeches. Big mistake!! Just a few tips and the only regrets I have. Everything was gorgeous and perfect and our gusts had a great time. We will have a lifetime of memories!! You will too!

Jana,

I love your photos that Juan posted on his site... your wedding was beautiful!  My fiance and I also decided to go with Juan (instead of using the resort photographer)!  Did you have ideas for him as far as what kind of photos you wanted him to take or did you just leave it all up to him?

I looked through his blog to get ideas of what photos I liked and then one week before the wedding I emailed him some of his pics.

HI all,

I have not written my full review yet on my wedding at Dreams but I did want to let everyone know that I got married on April 20th and it was perfect!! Everything turned out just the way we wanted. The food was amazing, the flowers were beautiful, the weather perfect, Dj was a blast, and Cecilia was so helpful and on top of everything! I hope to write a full review in the next week or so but in the mean time if you have any questions feel free to ask me!

Good Luck to all the brides who have upcoming weddings at dreams I'm sure they will be perfect!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
