How far ahead of your wedding did you send out your invitations? My wedding is so disorganized... it's in march and i still haven't sent them out. Is that pushing it?

Thanks!

My wedding is in March as well and I JUST today purchased save the dates... I didn't want to send invites too far ahead because I thought people may loose them if they were sent too early.

Where is everyone doing cocktail hour? I'm guessing cocktail hour is just drinks for everyone, right? Is there anything special about it.  So we could just have it at any of the restraunts?

As far as the tables I was thinking of one long table so we could talk to everyone at the table.  We only have around 20 people so it's small.

Depending on what package you get, will offer different things. We have the Ultimate Wedding Package, and that includes hot and cold Horderves, for 20 ppl as well as a cocktail bar, stationed were you choose to have it. We are having ours on the beach, it will be around sunset, then our dinner and dancing on the Club Terrace following. Hope this helps.

Hi Ladies, I have another question. Are you paying for your bridesmaids dresses? The dress that I really like is the vera wang bridesmaids dress from david's bridal which is $200. Even though my bridesmaids are happy that i'm not putting them in the ugly thick dresses  i think it's too much to ask for them to pay for the dress if they are paying for their flight and hotel. Any input?

Thanks!!!!

I bought the dresses for my bridesmaids, but they are convertible dresses that I got for $90 off Etsy. We also bought the groomsmen Rainbow sandals and their ties to wear. Everyone was really surprised that we did that. I always expect to pay for a dress if I'm in a wedding, and I think most other people do too.

Maybe if you're reall concerned about the price, and everyone loves the dress, you could offer to pay for half (or any part) of the dress to help make it more affordable?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
