Dreams Cancun - Questions for those married here!

Recommended Posts

I think your videographer did a great job of capturing your whole day and hopefully he got video of all of the really important people that were there (like family!).  I would definitely be happy if that is what was returned to me.

Just to let you know, my favorite part was when they did the slow mo of you saying "for the rest of my life".

p.s.  for those of you who know the story, the elusive starfish makes his appearance on here, along with mine

lol

I'd love feedback

Our travel agent prices matches and locks in rates if they go up so you are almost guaranteed to get a good deal. The prices Aldo include transfers from the airport which is nice.

Does anyone know who the photographer for the resort is?  Also if anyone is working with a travel agent from this site that got great deals for their guests please let me know.  My travel agent that I booked through comes back with higher prices then online.  I have 10 guests who all would like to book by the end of this month but are shopping around because are travel agent has higher prices than expedia, etc.  Kind of disappointing because you would think she could get a better deal with that many people booking at once but that's not the case at all.

The video was awesome.  You looked so beautiful!!  Everything looked so perfect.  Congrats again.

Is anyone doing programs??  My mom really wants to have them.  I was thinking that it was something I could eliminate for cost savings...

I plan on doing programs.  For me it will just be effort instead of expense.  I will make the programs myself with materials that are left over from making the invitations.  I have made all of my paper products (STDs, invites, donation favor cards, escort cards, programs, etc) because I know I never keep any of those items from other weddings so I didn't want to waste serious money on them (though I am sure they look better when professionally made).

My travel agent works for Apple so the only route she can go is through them, I believe.  I am sure we got ripped off no doubt about it!  When she came back with the prices and then talked us into upgrading to a jacuzzi suite I knew the price seemed high but we went with it (this was before I knew about this site).  Her daughter got married at Dreams Cancun and she seemed so great at the start.  She was so informative and talked us into Dreams.  I'm sure she gets some sort of commission because she was booking so many weddings for the Dreams resorts she sent us another couples paperwork.  LOL Now that are guests are trying to book they all say it's cheaper online.  We tried to tell her are trip was cheaper online but she make up some BS excuse about transfers and taxes.  I traveled enough before to know that she lied, she should of just said Apple is more expensive.  Don't get me wrong you can get good deals through Apple but most of them is last minute deals.  Thanks for the travel agents ladies I'm not giving up! Trying to stay postive!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
