If your WC has you down for a certain date, you're pretty much good to go regardless of the deposit. Cecilia never received our deposit so didn't take it out of the final bill but we still had our wedding as planned! It turns out that the accounting department at Dreams had received it, but never got around to telling the wedding department.

I am really nervous because I have already started making things for my wedding with the specific date on it. I have shared emails back and forth with her for months and she said I could hold my date with a credit card around December of 2010. I'm just so worried another bride has paid and gotten the date I want. I wish I had a more patient self and wasn't so controlling. We picked the date so far out so that all of our friends and family could afford going. Now I wish we said to hell with it and were getting married this April. Rudebaga when is your wedding? Is it getting close?

If there are specific things you want that are different than what your wedding package has, then clarify any changes you want (ie: a different photographer, and outside florist, etc)...but for things that your package includes like picking your menu or flowers, you have lots of time before they'll start going over all that with you  :)

I hope it will come as nice as I plan. I just don't want it to look too dark when you walk away from the dance floor. I will defiantly be posting pictures...it's starting to feel so real now 4 months away!! msnwink.gif

Here are 2 sample of flags, where we project light on it....they are great to delimitate areas

Just remenber lighting is the most important element since it gives the tone to the entire atmosphere!...but also bear in mind that in many cases elements are just point of light and not illuminating....like the candles, tikki torches, ect. 22052010234.jpg26-04-08_0001.jpgflags 1 copia.jpg

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
