Dreams Cancun - Questions for those married here!

Recommended Posts

Am I the only one that kind of misses the old beach? This new one looks so big...and fill it up with a million sunbathers and you have tons more onlookers that previously planned...hmmm

On the other hand, I wonder if the wind factor is less, maybe better for beach parties?

I would be a HUGE fan of the new beach if the wind factor decreased :)

No, you aren't the only one. I'm so disappointed that 1/3 of the beautiful view is now covered in sand. I loved that beach before, it was so much more private. You're right, there are going to be so many more onlookers, not just at the ceremony but what about a beach reception? When we were there in 2008, everyone pretty much left that beach as they were setting up for a reception because it was so small. Now with it being so big, I worry that people won't feel awkward staying. Blah...

Yup, that's what I mean. The old beach was accessible by Dreams guests only, this new one connects with the whole hotel zone strip...I wonder if this means Dreams guests will now have to wear a wrist band.

Anyway, it's going to be so much noisier now with a whole new beach full of people...who are not going to leave for a reception by the way.

And since I'm on the complaining trail...how much does it suck that people think it's okay to use that little pool by the wedding gazebo and lay out in that pool gawking at your ceremony in their speedos! Looks so funny in pics...jeez people, learn some respect!

ok, I'm done.. :)

the easiest way i found is to set up a photobucket account, you can use the forum one if you want. then you upload pics from your computer or camera. then it will ask you if you want to create share codes. use the IMG code (its the last one) and just copy and paste it to your post.

someone posted that photobucket was charging $25?? i never had to pay and i just created my own account, super easy. also planning on using this for our guests to upload their pics of the wedding.

yay for the review!! :)

it is likely just stress and nothing more serious, but do try the protein shakes. and if you have other types of symptoms or are still worried then definitely see a doctor. unexplained major weight loss can sometimes be a sign of bigger issues.

that said, stress made me eat *everything* that wasn't nailed down for a whole month prior to my wedding, and yet i was still losing weight despite it all! of course, those pounds came flying back after being happily married, lol!

there are a ton of threads on this forum regarding weight/diet/exercise, so check them out as well. it's a tad off-topic for this thread. in the meantime, invest in a push-up bra? hehe lookatme.gif

Cougs, I'm kinda like you, except that I'll probably gain it all right Before my wedding (instead of after). That happened before both of my graduations...ahhh. So I probably will be worrying about the opposite in a year. Thank you everyone for your understanding and advice! Now on to this forum's newest main issue... Mannia!

This is cruddy! Discounts for all but Dreams?!?! Booo! Maybe if I ask her before I sent in my deposit she'll think it will hook me more. But if all of you are saying no, then it's probably a no go. I personally want the dance floor more than the music. I hurt my ankle at a wedding a few years back and I don't want to try dancing on the sand.

Also, i agree with previous posters.... any new or soon to be Dreams brides, could you send us some picks of all the beach choices?

Sorry if it seems like I'm raping this section. But I have another dilemna. Some of you girls say you are calling Claudia. How do you do this. I called the number on her email. But when someone answered, I realized that I don't speak a lick of Spanish (LOL). I said, English please and I got transfered. I think the second person was speaking English, but it was so soft and accented I still couldn't understand. I said Claudia Cantillo please ext. 7635 and I got a few beebs and then I guess it hung up. Glad to see my $.65/min went to good use...;-( Does anyone have a better number to call? Help Please!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
