Dreams Cancun - Questions for those married here!

Recommended Posts

ooooh canadabride ... i really like michael maurus's work and his prices are VERY reasonable (seems a little cheaper than momentsthatmatter) and i like that you can choose whether or not to include prints. momentsthatmatter doesn't include prints (though they now have an option for an art book of your photos for additional cost) ... i weighed that against having one photographer vs. two. i decided having two would be important since we'll likely miss the entire cocktail hour while taking photos, and i'd love some pics of my guests enjoying it and the mariachi trio that will be performing. since there's two, they have agreed to split up for a bit to accomplish that. also, since it's a man and a woman, it's more likely my fiance will be comfortable with one of them!

other photographers in the area that people have used or hired are claudia rodriguez (and people from her team like citlalli), martha roque, and cecilia dumas. kat had great pics done by jeremy gilliam (i think he's outta texas). there is a TON of photographer debate within the pages of the dreams threads. good luck!

Online Album option: 3 month online album to share with family and friends with the purchase of any Fine-Art Photographic Album. *** $99

Your album will take approximately one week for us to design. Image selection is mostly based on our own creative vision. We include photos from every portion of your day in order to encapsulate your entire wedding story into the album. Ultimately, if you like our photographic style and the sample albums online, you can expect much the same look and feel in your Cornerstone album.

Once design is complete, the album will take 2-3 weeks to be printed and delivered to your home.

Our Cornerstone Album covers are personalized for YOU! Leather is also an option that can be added for $50 to $100, depending on your album size. Leather covers are beautiful but are not customizable to include photos or text.

We do welcome your input as to what you would like in your album, but this option will cause a delay on the delivery of your album. These special requests normally can not be made until you receive your photo package from us in the mail. If you choose to go this route, we cannot begin designing your album until you have reviewed your package. This will significantly affect the delivery time of your album. We ask that you keep special requests to a minimal, as this does create alot of overhead for us. You can be assured we will include all your favorites if you want to wait for your package, or you can leave it up to us. Either way, we will delivery you an album that you will be very happy with.

Prints

We do not supply prints with our packages. A typical Full Day Package has over 1000 full resolution images supplied for you. The cost of printing out all pictures and shipping those to you from Mexico is not economical and would cause our package prices to be much higher. We suggest you have only the prints developed that you want to display and use a good quality printer. Our packages come with instructions on how to develop your pictures for best image results. This allows us to offer you the best possible value for you money.

I know it will be on here but i've searched for ages and can't find it lol who are people using to transport them from the airport to the hotel and how long does it take?

I've managed to get transfers with my package but my MOH let her husband book it (idiot!) and he's not even booked a connecting flight from our local airport to london so defo no transport from the airport lol

I'm wondering if its possible and not expensive to do it in a taxi or arrange something else - she'll either be on her own or with her friend. If she's on her own i'm going to meet the plane no way am I letting her travel on her own when she's already done 12 hours. FI has been warned lol

Nope but I did find a company that would do it and it wasn't that expensive

I used this site

Cancun Airport Transfers | Unbeatable Rates For Cancun Private Transfer

They picked us up in a Lincoln SUV. The guy was super nice and it was a private transfer just the two of us. Went straight to the hotel and he gave us a lot of history of things as we went. I would totally use them again! And they picked us up at the hotel on time and got us to the airport quick.

Dreams does not offer transportation, but there is pleanty shuttles outside the airport and the ride is not very far.

My TA, Tammy (Host) arranged mine for us and it was a great service. I don't remember their name, sorry. We shared the ride to the hotel with some otehr folks, but the trip to Playa for our honeymoon was just us. Very affordable.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
