I was sent those same vows for the non-legal ceremony. However, I don't see that it includes the sand ceremony part. Where would that go? And i just asked if other traditions can be incoporated. Do I have to write it all out for the minister?

I was told that there would be no time to meet with minister. but there will be a dress rehearsal. I'm getting married in three weeks!! And I still don't have some answers to some questions!! I just hope it all pans out :)

I guess I should let Claudia know that we will not need the services of the minister and maybe get a credit for that part of the package! What do you girlies thinkhuh.gif
Hi, we are bringing our own minister with us. He's known my fiance since middle school and we couldn't imagine our wedding without him. Claudia didn't have a problem with it but I didn't ask her about trying to get a credit for it -- good idea!! Let me know what she says about that!

Brenda- I got a different answer about the minister in an e-mail I just received today. I'll copy and paste below. Maybe it will be helpful to others. And just as a side note, I e-mailed these questions to her today, and received a response right away...WooHoo!

Claudia-
A couple of question for you.
1. Does Dreams allow outside vendors for flowers?
No I`m sorry.

2. If not, can you put me in contact with the florist
that you use? I have some very specific ideas of what
I would like for the bouquets that I will be needing,
and have not seen exactly what I'm looking for in the
bouquet options you have sent me. Can I e-mail
pictures of what I like for price quotes?
Yes please send me the options you want..

3. Are you able to customize cakes? What flavors are
available?
vanilla, chocolate, strawberries, 3 leches (only 2 layer cake)

4. Will we be able to discuss/customize our ceremony
with the minister beforehand?
yes.

5. Also, we would like to set our ceremony time for
4:00. Will that be a good time?
yes it is a good time in October

Thank you in advance for your help,
Susan

...So I guess I didn't ask specifically if we could meet with the minister beforehand, but I'm not sure how else we'd "discuss/customize our ceremony"

Hi Susan! I sent her an email this morning and I am still waiting! My wedding is not until Feb though...
She didn't say if the cakes are customizable... Glad to see there is chocolate because that is what my FI wants. Maybe we can do one layer of one flavour and one of another.
I'll be interested to see what she says about the flowers. I sent her a similar question and pictures.

Thanks for posting these responses!

It may be the time of year, that the minister is less available. I hear May is a busy month. I am still gonna try and see if I can touch base with him or her beforehand. We'll see

Jilly is right, the Ultimate packge includes an upgraded bridal bouquet, 4 boutonnieres/corsages, floral centerpiece for the dinner table and one for the ceremony.

Too bad they don't allow outside florists because the BM bouquets quoted to me were about $50 USD.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
