Dreams Cancun - Questions for those married here!

Recommended Posts

hi all, im not a bride at dreams but i was sister of the groom last year. for your questions about hair - the stylist is apparently toni and guy trained - he was a lovely guy but seemed to use a lot of hairspray and grips. maybe due to the humid conditions. my brother was married in the small chapel and it was soooooooooooooo beautiful. the ceremony was translated and the service was fantastic. we had the reception in one of the dreams restaurnats and it was silver service. we couldnt have failed the service at all at was second to none!! i am getting married 18/04/08 st gran bahia principe tulum. i chose mexico as my brother wedding weas sooo lovely..... sara x x x x

Sort of a gamble...
I was thinking the same thing. What if I get there and say "Oops, I didn't know...all the flowers are already ordered and paid for!" Brenda used an outside vendor. Maybe it's policy to say "no", but are they really going to turn the flowers away at the door?!?!? I'm filling up 50 of their rooms...they should give me a break, right?!?!?

Welcome back Rosean!

I am very happy to hear you have made the right choice, Did you set a date?

Thank you for asking my questions as well :)

Look forward to your pictures :)

Jilly - Claudia had sent me the initial contract, but I still had so many questions, was not sure how many people were attending etc., so I have not sent anything. She knows we have booked and also knows my TA... wonder if I should contact her to update the contract and send her a deposit?

Claudia actually sent me a picture of one of the glass hurricane candle holders they have available to use as a centerpiece. I've attached it below so that everyone else can see.

Rosean - Did Claudia make it seem like there was more than one type of glass container available? She only sent me one picture so I'm not sure if there are other options. Thanks for finding out for us!

jlink, I think you can pretty much request for any shape vase you would like. Just make sure you send her photos of what it is you want in advance.

I took a picture of a wedding while I was there and they used a fairly nice vase. I'll post up pictures once I resize my files. I've also seen a square and round vase on the centerpiece file.

And do you have a picture of the gazebo? I can't find it.

Thanks!
You can have it in English.
There are many pictures attached in this thread, you just have to open up the attachments. I don't have good luck posting attachments... if you cannot find them, send me a PM with your email and I will send you some.

Hey Jilly and Susan, what are you two doing for music at the reception?

I was thinking about just using the DJ that Dreams can provide, but I read that review and now I'm not so sure. BTW, Jilly I get to Dreams on the 19th, I will be sneaking a peak at your wedding popcorn.gif

Today I hit my Two Month mark!! And tomorrow is my birthday, which I had completely forgotten about..too worried about wedding stuff right now!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
