It will be perfect because that is how it was supposed to be rain or shine.

Any brides get some things in exchange for others, like no videographer for chair bows etc etc.
I also got the sound system for the reception costs covered instead of having the resort photographer.

Hey all, I have a question for all the brides who have already been married at Dreams. Call me petty, but I am kind of worried about the noise level during out ceremony and reception. We are only having 15 people at the wedding, and I checked and found that all rooms are booked during our stay. There are only a few dolphin view rooms left, but everything else is booked. Did any of you have a problem with people being loud or obnoxious who werent part of your group? If so, how did you handle it? If not, how would you recommend I handle it? Thanks!

I honestly wouldn't even worry about it. You won't even notice that there are people around, you will be soo focused on what you are doing! I know there were some people in the pool during my ceremony, but it didnt bother me at all. We even invited some randoms into the reception during the last hour when we were all just dancing and having fun.

I honestly don't think that will be a problem. If your ceremony is at the Gazebo, you may have some on lookers, but the Gazebo is far enough away from everyone that you won't hear a thing, & at that moment, you honestly won't be paying attention to anything but DH :)
As for your reception, again, I doubt you'll have issues. Our reception was on the Lobby Terrace and we had no issues. There isn't really anyone that hangs out back there, not even in the lobby area of the Tower really. Most people hang out by the Swing bar and the Rendevous Bar at night, so you'll be fine :-)

I am so excited, we opted for the Ultimate Package, but there are so many things that we wont use/want since it seems everyone on here was able to trade some things for others...can some one fill me in on how this works? Congrats on getting your wedding date!

Here's the thing with trading things in the packages- if you read older posts, there was definitely a lot more trades being offered by the WCs but one of the WCs who allowed a lot more changes to the package Gaby, no longer works for Dreams which sucks b/c I originally was working with her and she was great. the newer WC Cecilia has tried to charge me for things like Day passes for my guests and photographer and not letting me get credit for not wanting the mexican trio but i kept all my emails from gaby and kept fighting for things I was already promised. I recently told her she owed me more credit for not using the trio than what i got and she told me that they "arent supposed to trade things, we are making an exception for you". You definitely have to be more persistent with this newer WC, and it sounds like they are getting tougher in general with trades. If you pm me your email address I can forward you the price list that I have which may give you an idea on prices, although your trades might not have the same value. Also, if you email your WC and tell her what you Dont want, and ask what you can get, thats a good place to start.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
