Hi ladies! I am interested in chartering a catamaran for my guests. Has anyone ever used Cancun Catamarans (owner - Robert Sommers)? If anyone has any other suggestions for catamaran charters or deep sea fishing, I would love to hear them. It's so nerve racking booking everything blindly. Thanks!!

Now, I dont understand why it says this statement. I notice that other resorts require a certain amount of guests to stay at the hotel, so I am leery about this. I would like everyone to be able to stay wherever they would like. Does anyone have any good information about this?

Thankyou!
Your guests CAN stay at another resort, just have them come like an hour before to avoid paying a day pass fee

Lisa ~ I hope you don't mind but I mentioned you in the "Post your hair flower here" thread bc someone was asking how to wear a hair flower with their hair down and yours looked great! I know your hair was completely down but it looked really pretty. I just wanted to let you know bc I felt weird posting a link to your pictures. I hope you dont mind.

I am pretty sure my weather forecast said rain. I didn't check it personally, because I didn't need one more thing to stress about..LOL but a couple of my guests told me, after the Wedding, that that checked the weathe and it said rain, they just didn't want to tell me :-)

Relax, not matter what, your going to have a great time! :) I am excited for you. Enjoy your time there and with your FI & family. Everything will be great :)

So I'm trying to finish up my welcome brochure. We arent having cocktail hour. Whats the best bar to tell the guests to go to between the ceremony and reception? Our reception is on the terrace, so the one that is closest to there would probably be the best.

Also, do the restaurants close 2 times per week? I read that somewhere...just wanted to make sure it was current info.

There is a bar right in the Lobby, there are also chairs and coffee tables.

They could go in there to have a couple drinks. That is definitely the closest.

I also heard that the restaurants close 2 times a week, but I was there from Saturday to Saturday and that NEVER happened.

The Azucar bar was closed 2 times I think.

They do shut the Buffet down two times a week (Tuesday & Friday) but that is because they set the buffet out on the beach on those days.

Tuesday is the Mexican Fiesta and Friday is Carribean night. They are pretty cool nights, they have a little Market place and they have a stage set up for the shows they perform.

As far as the normal restaurants though, nothing was closed the week we went :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
