No, it's the lobby. They can't really get onto you about having too many people. There are a ton of tables and chairs and even a porch outside with tables and chairs. It's where we had our welcome drinks. It won't be a problem at all.

Hey Nicki, you should call the resort directly and ask for the group sales manager Armando Canela or email him at groupsales@dreamscancun.com.mx- he will set up a wedding code rate for your guests. I called him last week and asked him for a wedding rate for January 2010 and he offered me a rate of $147 USD per person per night based on a double occupancy room. He guaranteed this rate for 3 days before the wedding and 3 days after. U just set up a code with him and then your guests can book through the reservations department.

No problem for us either! There was lots of room. We were a group of 26 and no problems accomodating us!

I need some help! On the Dreams site it says "wedding dinner party for up to 20 people staying at hotel". This statement to me means that my guests need to be staying at the hotel. I have been dealing with coordinator Olimpia, and she tells me that my guests do not have to stay there, and that they can arrive for the wedding one hour early and only pay $5, or they can purchase a day pass. Now, I dont understand why it says this statement. I notice that other resorts require a certain amount of guests to stay at the hotel, so I am leery about this. I would like everyone to be able to stay wherever they would like. Does anyone have any good information about this?

Thankyou!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
