I need ideas! :0) im getting really excited.... I cant believe its 7 weeks away. Ill be honest though, I feel like I have not really focused on wedding planning until now. Im a teacher and now that its summer break, I can focus on my wedding! But its already less than 2 months away!!! ah! lol. From reading posts on here, it seems as though the actual planning takes place when i get there, so thats good. Im just putting together my oot bags and other stuff like that now. Thank you all for your help!!! I love this site.
Same here!

I just realize we are 2 weeks apart, and now that I am thinking... really? i am leaving for my wedding in about a month!?

Wow, I also have 14 guests and plus us only!! I haven't really been crazy planning for the Dreams wedding since I have another reception in our city one week after. Plus, everyone on forum's been saying all the detail can be taking care of when we got there, less hassle, which is GREAT!

no worries on the ice at the resort. all their water/ice used in drinks is from the resort's own filtration system. we drank every frozen drink they had to offer, all day every day, LOL! and we were just fine. if anything, you'll get sick from consuming so much SUGAR in a day from so many yummy blended drinks! gosh when i think back it must have been literally THOUSANDS of calories in frozen drinks!

there is a good thread on here where everyone posts groom/groomsmen attire. try a search. i had a lot of difficulty with this because the best man was a 3x and almost everything i liked only came up to 2x, or was crazy expensive. we lucked out with cream linen pants at K&G (they were like $12, seriously, and there were little boys' sizes to match--score one for our ring bearer!) and after a million disappointments and changes, ended up going red short-sleeved shirts (that actually *exactly* matched the girls' dresses ... woot!) on sale at JCPenney. Tom went nuts on himself tho ... his stuff came from Boyd's in Philly.

Thank you again!
Cubsfan, I got the pic of the floral arrangement and cocktail setup from my SIL. If you get unbanned (does that happen?) let me know and I will figure out how to post the pics.

DH got his suit at Macy's it was Calvin Klein and looked quite nice. A kinda beigy color. My bro who walked me down the aisle just wore beige linen pants and a white short sleeve linen shirt. I think my SIL got them at Kohl's. I have actually seen a few shirts there that would be totally acceptable. If you wanna make people spend a little more go for Tommy Bahama shirts at Macy's

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
