Although my mom did make a good point...if people don't like dinner, they can grab something after since it's all inclusive:)
yeah i forgot the beach receptions were different on this (most likely due to them not wanting to schlep individual dinners out to the location ... they can set up the buffet and be done with it). i agree, only offering one option for dinner is ridiculous. we have people with allergies, vegetarians, kids, and just plain picky people ... they had better let us do a buffet! even with the buffet, it will be hard to appease my crowd, since almost every option has seafood or citrus in it (we have people allergic to both). claudia said they can accommodate vegetarians, yet there is no vegetarian option on the menu. what a pain.

tell her to not even present it at the ceremony ... have her just box it up and send it to your room for when you have the drunken munchies later that night.

or, it may be just the right size for smashing in FMIL's face if she gets out of line, lol! S&M.gif

Ahhhh...this is so frustrating! I just want to scream! Cecilia offered me 10 more people for dinner initately for the cocktail. Now she wants to take it back after I filled out the Q&A Questionaire. She said she will only offer it to me if I have the number of guests shown on my Questionaire. What the ##! I can't believe this. Can they just take back what they have already offerred? This is so stupid! It's an all inclusive resort. I don't understand what the big deal is when food is free there anyway. I'll be bringing alot of business to them as I'd plan to have 45-50 guests and they will be all staying at the resort. And yet, they nickel and dime me. I might as well go with the free wedding package.

i'd be really frustrated too, but honestly i don't think you can hold them to any negotiations or offers until you are under contract.

i'm still annoyed at how much the extra guests cost when it's all-inclusive, but i'm getting over it. it's really the private setup and service you are paying for, but yeah still annoying. smile03.gif

Now you see thats why I like you lol I could tell her it is a Mexican tradition to smash the wedding cake into the MIL's face and she has to do it because she wouldn't want to ruin her son's wedding lmao what do you think pmsl

Kate, I know exactly what you mean. It is really frustrating dealing with Claudia or any of the WCs. It seems they don't understand the concept of revenue that additional guests will bring vs. the very little food costs they will incur. They should throw the food in for free for additional guests in my opinion. I am really annoyed with Dreams and am actually limiting the number of people that I will be inviting to the wedding! For the economy the way it is and the travel conditions in Mexico currently, they are pretty unaccomodating. I think if several of us emailed and demanded that they stick to their word in terms of what they have already offered that may straighten them out.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
