Guest attire?

We have requested that all guests wear white to the ceremony.

A White Beach Wedding | ColinCowie.com

Check it out.....I came across this link to a wedding that Colin Cowie decorated and it is absolutely stunning to see everyone dressed in white with the sea as the background. My wedding color is coral as well so.....I'm taking this idea. Let me know what you ladies think. Thanks a bunch in advance!!! smile159.gif

We are going to use parasols. I'm having fans put on the chairs, with a thank you to our guests attached (I think) and then I was going to have some parasols at the entrance to the ceremony for the females if they want one. And we're going to use some for pictures as well. I think they look really pretty in the pictures

We are only using four parasols. They are also going to be used for pictures. I ordered white and I'm going to wrap the pole in coral ribbon; the same ribbon that will be wrapped around the base of the fans. I think this will be a really nice touch.

  • 4 weeks later...

I received a reply from Claudia today.

Thought I would post my responses:

1- In the email below for Date: Apr 25, 2007 11:41 AM, my question was:

How much would the credit be for the photography as you mentioned in the previous email?

upgrade to package 2 of photography

I had mentioned in a previous email that I would use another photographer (actually Claudia Rodroguez), so I would not need an upgraded photography package. You had mentioned I could you that amount towards something else. I was asking how much that would be would know how much we have to work with.

you can exchange it for:

Gazebo Décor or

Upgraded wedding video!

2- Do you work with a 'cigar roller' vendor that could come in for an hour during the reception? If so, what would the cost be?

yes we have one cigar roller here at the hotel, the cost will be on consumptions

3- My fiance mentioned fire dancers... could you tell me about their cost if you have them as well?

they are very expensive prices attached.

4- If we have the cocktail reception in the garden, what kind of modern furniture seatin could we have? What would the cost be? I attached a picture.

photos attached, prices subject to quotation, will depend on how many pieces.

5- I am attaching a picture of another table/flower idea (not with those colours) - square vases with drowned flowers in water (orange colour), smaller square vases with flowers (see picture) and small votives. Would this idea be more or less than what comes with the Dreams Ultimate Wedding package?

if you want something like that we can do it.

6- Do you have access to bright green or orange table runners? A narrow fabric that goes down the middle of the long reception table. Or would this be something I should bring?

table ruuners will be additional cost

7- From a previous email:

For the dinner, the hours are between 5:30-8:30pm . Is there an extra charge to stay until 10 or 11pm?

yes additioanl fee of $ 10 usd + 15% service + 10% tax per person

Can you tell me what the additional payment of $10 + 15% +10% tax would cover? Is it use of the area, the wait staff, open bar?

1 hour international open bar

---------------

Finally, the mystery additional hours fee explained!

Paula, those were great questions! Well I'm glad she told you, that you could use the photo credit for gazebo decor or extra video. I would much rather get the gazebo decor because I really could care less about the video and what comes with the package will be plenty for us.

Also, the cigar roller is only based on consumption? Well, I should just do that too! Why not, I'm sure it won't be more than 5 cigars! we don't have that many people coming!

Okay a question about table decor. Has anyone asked if they have anything available for the tables or is everyone bringing there own stuff. I've picked up some tea light lantern things and also some shells, seaglass, & starfish to kind of scatter on the tables. But the lanterns I have are small, so I feel like I need more flowers. I know the package comes with a centerpiece and also some other decorations, so I figured I'd just pick the same centerpiece for both and then I would have flowers for the reception, but I really don't know. Its so hard without actually seeing the setup!

paula, can you show us a picture of what you were asking her for? I love the drowned flowers, they look really cool!

I had already told her I was using an outside vendor for photography and I don't want gazebo decor (maybe just some tulle going down the front two posts). I guess my option is upgraded video... maybe I can get her to trade it for flowers...

I am going to ask how much cigars are as well. We don't want to be surprised at the cost. Also, I am sure we need to tip him as well.

Here is the picture I sent he about the table set up, My napkin idea is different, laying down flat in a square (oh and I like those chairs better, but they don't have any other choices) :

Thanks Paula! Could you PM me the fire dancer price quote. Funny...my fi is interested in that as well. Are they really that expensive?

Jill - I am bringing shells to scatter on the table as well as some votives. I actually found little votives in shells at Wedding Favors, Wedding Party Favor, Bridal Shower Favors. My mom and I are thinking of making our own "runners" and just bringing them down because linens were ~$10 per table from dreams.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
