We are taking our photos before the wedding but I am concerned about it being so dark during the ceremony that the pictures of the wedding will not show the amazing blue water in the background. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is my first panic moment so far!
Tell her to sod off - YOU wanted 4 for a reason and you aren't changing it. Remember she works for you not the other way round

Yes! Except once again Dreams has taken a reasonably priced DJ and jacked up his prices!! LOL
Doremixx is only $450 for 2-4 hours..Total! They have made him unaffordable for me..:-( However..It's still awesome that he is approved now for all of the other brides who wished to use him :-)
But I am not worried because since my guest list is lowered, I am happy with the sound system. My friends already promised to help me do announcements and stuff, so we are good to go! :-)

Thanks again Jill for working all of that out!!

That is great news! Any little bit helps when you are dishing out all this money.

You must be kidding me. $280? Ughhh Claudia gets me so mad! The reason why I loved Doremixx so much was cuz he was super nice, and his price was almost too good to be true - $450 for 4 hrs--how much of a profit is Dreams making off of him!!?? Arghhhhhhhhhfryingpan.giffryingpan.giffryingpan.gif

Hi Girls...

Just wanting to let you know that I emailed Claudia regarding the 30% discount for Mannia since I couldnt book Doremixx on time.

She graciouslygirl_werewolf.gif granted me the discount, so for 3 hours I will be paying $647.00 plus the cost of the illuminated dance floor of $880.00. Im not sure if this is the small dance floor or the bigger one I must ask, but it seems a bit pricey.S&M.gif

Anyhow, I had inquired previously about Doremixx and she had told me no and that he was not an authorized vendor. Now he is, his price is the same as Mannia at $280..

Here is her email...

Yes now we can work with Doremixx, heis now an authorized vendor for Dreams Cancun, we had a formal meeting a few days ago

The price for DJ is $ 280 usd + 10% tax per hour

The price for the dance floor (wood) is $ 450 usd + 15% set up + 10% tax

Doremixx has a beautiful lightened dance floor, maybe you like it, if you do I can send you price

NOW THE EMAIL ABOUT MANNIA

Yes when you asked he was not an authorized vendor, and beacuse all those brides asking a lot for this other company we invite him to have an appointment in our corporate office to make sure that he offers a great quality in service, all vendors for Dreams has to be carefully selected in order to avoid any inconvenience may cause to our clients, we donâ€t reccomend what we donâ€t know, thatâ€s why we just offered the Mannia Services.

If you decide to work with Mannia we will honor the 30% discount he offered to all BDW.

It will cost you for 3 hours

$ 924 usd

Less 30%

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA:sh ots:shots.gifshots.gifshots.gifshots.gifS&M.gif

Total will be $ 647 usd for 3 hours

OMG That is so awesome!!! I am working with Cecilia now because Gaby was let go, so I must ask her about that discount. Thanks so much for letting everyone know. Just to make sure I understand correctly, you are having 3 hours and the illuminated dance floor...all for $880? Or is $880 just for the cost of the dance floor?

All this Dj talk is making me a little nervous. There are only going to be about 25 in my group. For those past brides, is it worth it to hire a DJ for so few people. Jill, didn't you even forgo the sound system and go with an ipod docking station? How did that work out and how big was your group? Any advice will help.

I'm pretty much waiting til I get there to make all my decisions, but it sounds like I should maybe figure out the music thing.

We only have 10 people, so we were thinking the same thing (ipod docking station) I'm hoping that won't be a pain in the ass. i guess we'll find out soon enough.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
