I was told an hour before would be ok 2 so i'm hoping to sneak the photographer in as they are the only ones not staying at our hotel lmao and Lisa is right it does go up it was $50 last year lol the bloody bandits

I have the same attitude! I don't even bother with all the crazy details. It will all work out in the end. On a funny note...

I went to try my wedding dress on for the first time. It is a separate and I tried to pull the skirt up and it stopped just at my theighs. We looked to see if it had more zipper to pull down but no luck. I then attempted to pull it over my head and still it would not go around my big butt! I have lost 20 lbs since I tried on the sample skirt which is the same size as the one I ordered so I figured it would fall off me. Well to make a long story short...after some careful research by my bridesmaid (who was livid by the way) noticed that the sample on the floor was labeled wrong and I ordered 2 sizes too small. THEY DID NOT EVEN MEASURE ME! I was not aware of the fact that wedding dresses run so small so when I ordered a 10 I figured I would be fine as seeing I am now in a size 6-8. They then had to take the seam out on both sides (about an inch total) so it could just barely fit! It is a trumpet (mermaid) skirt and I am quite endowed in the butt area so I am a little concerned about the whole "splitting" issue! I KNEW I SHOULD HAVE ORDERED THE A-LINE!! Guess I will eat again in 2 months and 1 day.

I guess if I did not lose it at that point I am free and clear not to freak out for the next 2 months!!

OMG Jen! I would have freaked out! I can't believe they didn't measure you just to be sure. I hope they didn't make you pay for the alterations, since it was their mistake.

Look at this point I am hoping the dress freaking fits! I started having panic attacks last night and got on the phone this morning to get a seamstress to make me a whole new skirt just to be safe! My Bridesmaid (Desiree) wants to go over there tomorrow and kick some butt!

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that I discussed the discount Mannia is offering for BDW brides with Claudia and she said they would honor it on new bookings.

Just thought I'd let everyone know in case they were considering hiring him.

Jill

I hope someone can help me... PLEASE. Cecilia wants to move my wedding from 4 to 5 in the gazebo, November 7th. I keep hearing it may be too dark. Does anyone have experience with this? Sunset for that day will be at 5:07pm.. We are taking our photos before the wedding but I am concerned about it being so dark during the ceremony that the pictures of the wedding will not show the amazing blue water in the background. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is my first panic moment so far!

my advice would be to tell her "NO" if it already says "4 in the gazebo" on your contract. sounds like they have another wedding that day and are trying to get one of you to change. why can't it be the other wedding that has to change?! if you don't already have it in your contract, then i would ask to change it to an earlier time rather than a later one and see if that works.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
