Dreams Cancun - Questions for those married here!

Recommended Posts

We sent an email to Claudia on Thursday 4/16 asking her if we could exchange the 1 hour cocktail party for 3 hours of sound system, but have not heard from her. Go figure. We have not talked to her since Feb, and our wedding is on May 2nd.

I know it's somewhere on this thread, but can someone tell me what the guest pass fee is for guests not staying at the hotel. I want to put it in my invitations. Also, did you all/are you all going to be paying that fee or will you be asking your guests to? Ugh I wish everyone just stays at Dreams!!!

it's $55 per person, but i can almost guarantee it will go up before your 2010 wedding, LOL, so you might not want to put it in invitations. maybe put it on a wedding website if you'll have one, that way it's updatable!

Oh yeah i changed my screen name..lol My FH got mad that i had my real name.. go figure men always manage to find the weirdest things wrong!!LOL OMG imagine a third wedding you want me to pass out..hahaha I actually contacted the other bride and she has yet to get back to me its been over a week!!Hmmmm

Yeah I am really excited about my pictures i pray everything works out!!

On a side note i also have been getting emails back very quickly so quickly i havent responded back!! A while back i sent a letter to every email i could find on their "website" and complained to them especially having a friend getting married in DR and getting SUPPERIOR service from her WC's.. Anyways my point is i think so many people were complaining about the service and the delayed emails that maybe now they are actually doing what they are sopposed to be doing :) or so we hope!!lol

If it wasnt for this forum I Dont know how in the world i would be handling all this, so my hats off to you past/future brides :) THANKS!!

hey Michelle- I asked Gaby about the guest pass for wedding guests and she told me that guests coming for your wedding DO NOT have to pay for a pass as long as they come around 30 mins before the wedding. you should definitely fight to get this. i talked to a past bride who said a bunch of her guests came an hour before and they had no issues. just get them to bring a copy of the invitation with them when they come :)

Thanks! I'll put that in my invitation then but this really sucks because the person who is giving me the headache about not staying in my hotel is my bridesmaid lol. I'll try to figure something out. But for now I guess in the invitation I'll write all guests not staying at the hotel must present their invitation at the door...or something like that.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
