I hear the cancun dreams salad is a piece of leave! hahaha so thats been xd.

Also, Im renting the sound system from them, do I need to provide them with my own music for the procession or will Mannia be there to do it for me?
I honestly don't remember everything we ordered lol. I should have wrote it down. I think we had scallops, lobster bisque, surf and turf and Creme brulee.
I don't think Mania will do the music for the actual wedding but I could be wrong.

It sounds like from reading everyones posts, that changes can be made when we get there. We wanted to know if we could change from the ultimate wedding package to the love wedding package? We have asked several times but have not heard back. Also can we exchange things, like the hair and make-up for maybe a free hour of the soundsystem.

I am trying not to stree but you guys know how it is.
I am sure you can change the package. I switched some things up. I didn't have the package photographer and got a few things in exchange. I know it is stressful and everything is up in the air until you get there. But it really will work itself out. :)

Just don’t be too laid back like me or you will get it up the &(%..lol Make sure the main things are booked and confirmed such as salons, DJ, photographer, location of reception, time..etc. I thought since all the past brides said not worry with the little things that I could just wait it out till a month prior or until I got down there but someone jumped on my date and then I got screwed out of a few things even though I was booked WAY in advance  really upsetting but whatever it is what it is.. So just take that into consideration..

Well what would you suggest i do. Email her again asking about changes and so on or wait untill we get there? I also printed out all the emails that I sent her as well as the ones she sent me.

After reading previous posts i was feeling better, hearing everyone has been dealing with slow response back. We just want it to be perfect.

hi, they wont let you exchange the hair and make up for anything except for a manicure and pedicure and i read some complaints about them not doing a good job on french manicures...definitely make your spa appointments early in case there is another wedding the same day as yours..they only have 2 girls working in the salon. they seem to be getting more strict on what you can exchange for things. i managed to exchange the photographer included in dreams of love for 2 hours of the sound sytem for the reception, but that was with Gaby and it sounds like she got let go b/c of her trades or something. good luck! maybe you can call her if you dont hear anything soon

Yes its true, they are super strict on what you can exchange and cant. Claudia tried to tell me that its all put in a package for you so exchanging things is out of the question. She did allow me 3 centerpieces priced at $150.00 each in exchange for the photographer, makeup and hair person.. its such a rip off still.. Im really annoyed!

Girls, after lots of persistence, I have been able to get most of the trades I wanted. They do put up a fight, but I have found that if I "hound" them a bit, they usually work with you. It might be so they don't have to listen to me anymore, but it's worth it:)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
