I will have to talk to FI and see what he thinks.

Thanks for all of your help :-) As always!
yeah i don't know if either of us could go for seeing each other beforehand, mostly because of how much crap we'd hear about it from EVERYONE about it being bad luck. i don't want anyone even *thinking* the words "bad luck" on my wedding day!

however, the walk looks so LONG to the gazebo ... i don't think you will really get a "reaction shot" when he's going to see you coming for miles! wink.gif

I wanted to do this but DH was against it.

These are both very true ladies!! I know it is quickly becoming more popular to do the pics before the Ceremony. I will talk to him about it and see what he says. I do like the Idea of the Ceremony and then the reception right away.
If anything, I can just have everyone chill out by the bar after the Ceremony (or do whatever they want) Maybe the day won't see so rushed this way...Hmm...I will figure it out

Thanks!! :-)

I've just eaten a huge lump of lemon madeira cake!! all that work at the gym i feel sick lmao

We've decided we aren't doing the cocktail hour we just can't afford it now - my MOH has decided (lol) that while we are having our pics taken she will sort out the rest of the guests all 7 including herself! with drinks and nibbles lol

Then we are going to Hard Rock at about 6.30 then hopefully we can stay there most of the night

found a neat map of the cancun hotel zone where you can see what stuff

is near the resort (Map of Cancun). the resort is #40 ... so you can see it's very close to coco bongo, senor frogs, and the city (clubs), and also very close to two shopping malls (forum mall and plaza caracol), and a flea market. there's even a hooter's and a t.g.i.friday's nearby (harty is that where you're doing dinner?).

i just wish there was some kind of distance scale so you'd know exactly how close everything was! seems like the things i mentioned should be within walking distance.

i've attached it here too ... i think (never did that before)!

I walked to all those places.. It is not like right across the street but it is def within walking distance. We actually walked all the way to Senior Frogs which is quite the hike. We took a cab back though because it started to rain.

I am sure they still have the info. I would email one of the other coordinators. Good luck!

I just sent an email and Cecilia the new girl wrote me back (very quickly i might add). She seems to have it all together and answered some questions that i had. So shoot her and email (same address as Gaby's) and I'm sure she'll make you feel better. I'm sure they have all your info. It took a while for my deposit to go through (they said they have to give it to their accounting dept, and it could take a little while) but it all worked out for me (so far!).

Good luck! smile03.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
