I planned on making most of my decisions once I get there but I was wondering if I could decide on food once I get there also?

I actually dream about eating!!! I am just worried I will eat too much in Cancun the 4 days before my wedding and my dress will be a bit snug!!

That stinks..I think the Bride and Groom shouldn't have to pay...Aren't we paying enough! :-) lol J/K
That is a good point about the cocktail hour!!
I was thinking about not doing a cocktail hour honestly. Our ceremony is so late (5:30 or 6pm..not sure yet)..I figured everyone can go and mingle at the bar have some drinks and then head right into dinner...Do you think that makes me look cheap? I have been telling everyone about how it's like a normal wedding with a cocktail hour and all..I should have kept my fat mouth shut! :-( lol
It would really save me money on so many things and Maybe I can have the Mexican trio play during dinner (and then the DJ can take over after their set?) Ugh...I don't know..I change my mind every day..but this is something I need to figure out before we get down there..I need to change my Timeline up :-) I made a rough copy last week and I love it :-)
Anyone skip the Cocktail hour? What did your guests do during the time you were taking pics?

OMG..I really thought it was just me!!! I swear every time someone talks about food, my sentences always start with...."I can't wait to have that, After the Wedding, When I can eat again!" hahahahaha
I am also having the same worries as you..I'll be in Mexico 4 days before my Wedding and I don't want to deprive myself..LOL but I can still eat and take it easy I suppose...But after the wedding..It ON! :-) I don't think we can gain that much weight in 4 days..can we?
Maybe I will hit their Gym if anything (Even though I heard it wasn't all that great)

I thought about that, but I feel like it takes away from the whole "Moment" of him seeing me for the first time Walking down the Aisle.

However, I know that this would make a lot of sense if I decide to not do the Cocktail hour..Hmmmm....

I will have to talk to FI and see what he thinks.

Thanks for all of your help :-) As always!

I'm still working on my review to write because they didn't charge me half price for the 3 kids that came. It was a big issue!! But it worked out in the end.
Really?? I can't wait to read your review!! :-)

I have seen some really cute pictures of the bride and groom seeing each other for the first time. When the bride is walking down the aisle it is hard for the photographer to get his expression but when you take your pictures before the wedding, they can have you stand back to back then turn around and see eachother. I wanted to do this but DH was against it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
