People say the prices are cheaper through a TA or the websites vs. paying for them at the resort.

I for one don't want to book anything until i am there (because of the weather) so we're going to play it by ear.

I may fly down a friend/photog who will do my pics for free, or I may enlist cancun studios. Have to see how things work out.

I didn't even think of five months until you said that, WOW. We get to Cancun on the 8th(not sure what time), we should meet for drinks. When do you get in? Are you bringing decorations or anything for tables. I've decided against bringing anything beyond gift bags for the guests. It is so pretty there I doubt anyone will notice missing decorations. Getting Excited!
I actually get in on the 9th. I am bringing centerpieces for tables. I am also doing gift bags. I am not doing decorations for gazebo..it is just so beautiful on its own. Like you said no one will even notice. We will definitely have to meet for a drink. Most of my guests do not arrive until Wed-thurs. Only immediate family will be there tuesday. We will likely hang out at the resort and soak up the atmosphere tuesday. I was also hoping to set up a meeting with Claudia to make some final decisions.

I am freaking out.

My wedding is in two weeks and I have my ceremony booked for 5:00pm... I wanted to have it during sunset but I heard from some of you that the photos won't turn out nice because it gets dark so quickly.

I need Gaby to respond ASAP and I hope she can switch out time for sooner. Has anyone heard from her in the last couple of dayshuh.gif? shitfan.gif

I got an email from her a few hours ago. She's seemed pretty responsive lately, so hopefully you'll get something back from her soon. I'm sure it won't be a problem!

Also, she seems to look out for that anyways...i originally told her i wanted a 6:00 ceremony, and when she sent me my contract she said "i booked you for 4:00 because 6:00 will be too dark".

What a nightmare!!! let me know what you decide Tracy
I think we are going to go off site simply because we wouldn't feel good about going to one of the other restaurants that they've already paid for in the AI package lol I wouldn't mind but FI won't have it lol

I'm now desp looking for a place. FI's idea wait until get there!!! WTF lol

Do you know if your photog has someone that does it.
Ok she responded and it only took 4 days lol

The vid is $600 plus tax!! Holy crap lol I told FI and he said "F** that" lmao If i'm truthful I was only getting it so he could load it on to his laptop for afghanistan and his sister is really ill so she might want to see it but he'll have to just remember lol

I am not sure what to do now!!! My FI said it up to me I have to decide!!! I will maybe try and find other restuarants off site to see what is suitable!!! That is crap the video is $600 pretty steep, don't you think?? What is really annoying me right now is the lack of communication. you ask a question and it takes so long for a response!!!! Let me know what you decide. Tracy

Marie, if that is all you want it for I would put a camcorder in someones hands and then show it to her. You could buy a camcorder for a lot cheaper than that! Hey that could be my job while I am there lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
