Dreams Cancun - Questions for those married here!

Recommended Posts

Paula, you can send claudia pics of what you want and she'll get you a quote, I don't know if it will be cheaper, but just a thought.

Also, does anyone know what this "upgraded bridal bouquet" is?? At first I thought you got to choose from the VIP list, but I guess thats not it either. Why can't they make this easy??

I sent her pictures earlier this week and have not heard anything yet for bouquets and table arrangements. I'll let you all know when I do :)

I sent her my bouquet idea too. I want white callas with a few bright fuschia orchids for a little pop. Then I think I'd do bright pink callas for the BMs. I've been so back and forth on this. I was originally thinking of doing the bright pink callas for myself..... AH! Too many decisions :)

Good morning Susan! Happy Friday! ~yawn~
I really like your bouquet idea. I am really liking orchids lately in my flower search. Maybe I will use one in my hair.

There was a bouquet I love with callas, orchids & roses, it was gorgeous and I wanted it, but I emailed it to claudia awhile back & she said she'd have to get a quote and at that time I didn't know I could get credits for things I didn't use in the package, so I told her to forget it because its really not that important I can pick from the package bouquets, but I just with they had more with orchids in the included ones because I am obsessed with them!

~Tap tap ... tap tap~

Still awaiting a reply from Claudia at Dreams to my email from 4/25.

Am I being too impatient?

Maybe she is getting quotes on the bouquet and reception table ideas I sent her.

I had other questions too that should have been easy though.

OK...ladies I'm getting really nervous about my decision to completely get married in Cancun. Do you think it's too late to change my mind and get married here in Chicago and simply have a civil ceremony at Dreams? I don't even care if we have to pay a little extra. The red tape is ridiculous to get married in Cancun and I'm nervous about getting blood taken in Mexico. What do you think?

Email response is slow. Claudia finally responded to me after about 3 1/2 weeks of waiting. I have found that if you put all the questions you can think of in one email, she usually just types her response under your question.

Paula, she probably is getting quotes on your bouquets and waiting to respond all at once.

wkbroome, sorry I don't remember your first name, I originally wanted to have our legal wedding in cancun, in fact I didn't think you could do it any other way. But then FI said, well we'll just get married before we go. At first I said, no way! I wanted the day we got married legally to be our day in mexico. But then the more I looked at the requirements and the prices to get married in mexico, I decided that I'd rather just get the paper work taken care of here before we go and then it will be so much easier when we get to mexico. I just don't want to have to worry about something going wrong! And we'll still consider our anniversary to be the date we were actually married in cancun.

Good Luck with whatever you decide!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
