thanks i hope i hear back from her too ... i'm trying to convince myself that his pictures are plenty good enough and there's no reason to spend more hiring someone else.

i just think it's a little strange that with all the DC brides on this forum, i haven't seen ANYONE use his services, ya know? especially since he's the INCLUDED photographer!

if you're out there, and you used juan navarro, speak up! good or bad, we need to know!

You girls have to keep me updated with this...Booking a Photographer is my next step...And between no one ever getting abck to me and no one ever having Juan Navarro do their Photos, I am at a stand still! :-(

Thanks for all your hard work! I know you ladies are just as, If not more frustrated as I.

Someone posted a picture before of it...If you search for it, I'm sure it'll show up. It looked like a big space..It was really nice..But it looked like your average Wedding Hall you can use in your Home town.
However if that's what your looking for, in my opinion it looked really nice! :-)
I think you'd definitely want to get the chair covers for SURE if you go that route.

i would imagine that there's plenty of regular overhead lighting in there and that the pictures you've seen were mood lighting for dancing ... i don't know about you but i need the lights dimmed and a couple shots of liquid courage before i get out there! LMAO

i agree with phillybride that it's kinda like a hall you could have had at a home wedding, however, it's also the only reception option that is air-conditioned, so that's definitely something to consider! and of course it's nice to know the option is there so inclement weather can't totally destroy your wedding. dmarie made the best of it and her wedding was wonderful!

Im having my reception in the ballroom, partially bc we have about 85-90 people coming, and also we dont want to be limited on how late we can party. when we were there for our site visit in june, we saw a reception in the ballroom. its def not dark in there. they do have overhead lighting, and there are optional additions, like lights under each table ($25/table) and overhead colored lights (i think it was like $250, dont remember exactly)... as far as how big, they have like 4 rooms with dividers, and depending on how many poeple you have, they give u the appropriate number of rooms... as far as decorations, thats a personal choice.. you can make it as simple or as fancy as you want, but i would minimally get the chair covers and bows (the bows can be reused from the ceremony, so u dont get charged twice...).. if u have any other questions, let me know :-)

I think that is great! I'm sure that your photos will be fabulous and some one can finally share a review and perhaps so many gals can quit spending so much extra money for a diff photog. You could change the world humble.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
