Dreams Cancun - Questions for those married here!

Recommended Posts

Dates go pretty quick. I booked my date more than a year in advance to make sure that I got the weekend in April that I wanted. If you are looking more at September 2009 and later, they might have something available. I would contact the wedding coordinator soon.

Do you think stadium cups would be useful for the guests?
Hello-
The cups are very large for mixed drinks and beer is served in bottles. I dont think an extra cup would be useful at Dreams. Plus your guests end up having to carry a cup around with them everywhere they go, so it might just be left in the room.

Hi Girls,

I'm new to this site, is there any way I can save this thread to my profile?

I started reading all of the post yesterday and they are ALL VERY helpful. My wedding is not until Nov 2009 (hopefully) I'm still waiting on someone to contact me. I submitted my request form but havent heard back on which of my 3 date choices were open. I did recieve an email saying thanks for choosing Dreams w a price sheet (same as the internet). Going by all of the posts, I'm sure it will be awhile before i know for sure.

Anywhoo back to weddign talk--We were hoping for 11/13/09... My three options were 11/6, 11/13 or 11/20 but havent heard anything. I'm SO GLAD to have found someone in my time frame. hopefully we can help one another along the way.

Yes, Gaby was the one who sent me the price sheets but i havent heard from her since. I was hoping to know so i can start on the save the dates. some sites say give people 1yr notice for destination weddings. i know i have plenty of time, but im very excited to know. I hate waiting and i know this wedding is going to be beautiful but also a test to my nerves with all of this "unknown" and delayed responses to emails.

did i mention im SO GLAD to have you so close to my date :o) its a relief elefant.gif

Well depends on what time of year you are planning. May 09 weekends were booked up as far back as February 08. If you are planning a weekday wedding well your chances are much better.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
