Most of the girls from what I understand went with the sound guy or didn't do anything at all. I am going with the sound guy. When are you getting married?

Read back through the threads, there is lots of feedback from past brides who have used IPODS in Lieu of hiring the ridiculously expensive DJ. I myself am considering using an IPOD. I was going to hire an outside DJ but they started this NEW rule prior to getting approval. No biggee I just cannot justify having a DJ when I have like 5000+ songs on my I-tunes. my FI is quite the music junkie! I will likely just make playlists and play from either my laptop or my IPOD

Thank you! It's something I've been working with Tammy on for awhile, we were finally ready to make the announcement!

we used our IPOD & docking station for the ceremony & the reception because we didn't want to pay for the sound system.

Hey Ladies!

I pm'd both of you with some questions and would love to work with you.

Just to make it a little bit easier for me, if anyone would like to talk to me about travel arrangements or just general questions, it would be best for you to pm me, just to be sure you get a timely response because I don't always check this thread as much as I'd like to!

Thank you & good luck with your weddings everyone!

Well right now im trying to get a date for April sometime next year, the date I originally wanted isn't available so now i'm gonna have to be a little flexible. I though it was harder to get a date in Los Cabos!

I don't know but I know that I wanted Sept 6th (that was the day we met) but settled for Sept 7th. It all depends on if it is a popular travel time.

The sound guy or the DJ? The sound guy does the ceremony and can go to the reception but you provide your own music he is just in charge of playing it on his equipment. I believe he is 200 an hour after tax. The DJ does just the reception and I think he is 800 for three hours? Is that right ladies.. I am probably wrong on that one.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
