Dreams Cancun - Questions for those married here!

Recommended Posts

Honestly, I don't remember how much DJ was... Sorry.

that dance floor was $500. It was pretty nice actually. It wasn't too big, so if you're having a lot of people its not big enough (I had 25 people). I'm sure Claudia can help you out with size.

It wasn't too dark at all, and where we had a reception it wasn't very windy, even though it wasn't very far from the ceremony site. There were lights around and candles, so it was just perfect.

Mariarchi band was fine, it was a good addition for the coctail hour. Don't expect a lot from it though.

For reception you have an option to have it on the terrace but it really isn't impressive at all...

I added some pictures to my profile from the reception, take a look

What did you gals think of the photographer at the resort? I would like to hire an additional photographer but I just don't think its within our budget. Claudia had sent me some photos and I'm just not sure. Also, did the photographer take pictures from the ceremony/with family/cocktail/reception? Thanks!

I haven't gotten married yet, but I did see the pics you're talking about, and they're okay, but I really wanted someone else. We have a very small budget as well, I ended up going with Claudia Rodriguez Photography, I am getting one of her team members Citlalli Rico for my wedding. Her smallest package I think is 850, and she has some other packages as well. Would that fit into your budget?

We also chose to go with an outside photographer because we didn't want to take any chances using the resort photographer. We just hired Claudia Rodriguez yesterday and her husband for the video. We've read so many great things about her and are very excited to work with them!!

I had emailed Claudia a few weeks ago when me and my FI were unsure about cancunstudios and she told me she was available for 070707, ans then while I was in Cancun I received an e-mail from her telling me she received a request and wanted to know what did I decide.. so it was you!!!

I solved my things with cancunstudios anyway... I was afraid they were going to send a random guy to take my pictures but I managed to have agustin (the owner) to take our pics!! smile29.gif

Hi Jilly,

sorry to reply so slow. The reason i think Dreams photo packages are from cancunstudios is because I met Claudia when i went for a site visit in December. I had already hired Erick Rodriguez (a team member from Claudia Rodriguez's company). But Claudia from Dreams did show me a package pricing that had a letterhead from Cancun Studios. She also had samples of a cardboard like photo album from cancunstudios. If you want I could email you some pics from cancunstudios since I also contacted them prior to going to Dreams.

The same thing happened to me! I had emailed Claudia a few weeks ago and she was available and then later said she had a request and wasn't sure if she was available. A few days later she emailed me again and said she was available so I booked her. Glad to hear you got cancun studios straightened out!

I had emailed Claudia (the WC from Dreams) a couple weeks ago and asked who they use as the photographer for the add-on package and who they use for the photographer for the various wedding packages you can purchase. She never replied to my email though.

I've asked that same question several times and also asked if the photographer had a website and every time I just get those pictures emailed to me, they never mention who the photographer is.

but it doesn't matter to me anymore because I already hired Citlalli Rico, from claudia rodriguez's studio, and I'm very excited!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
