I could hear the music from where I waited to start walking down the aisle.
The sound guy is great too!
I burnt the songs for the ceremony ande gave them to Claudia with the numbers of what #s where for what.
I gave my iPod to my sister to man, but the sound guy took care of that too!

By "burnt" did you use cds or just the IPOD? Trying to decide which to do. May bring both just so have back ups. Do they have the cables to connect the IPOD to their sound system? Thank you tons for the help!

I didn't rent the sound system for the ceremony because I thought that almost $200 for a 10 minute ceremony was ridiculous. It was very loud up there, but honestly it was difficult for us to even understand the officiant and no one mentioned that they couldn't hear anything. At first I was adamant about getting it and then I decided I really didn't want to spend more money. I think it was fine. I would say if you have a large group you would definetly want it, but because we had a small group claudia had our chairs set up really close to the gazebo, so I think everyone could hear just fine.

So, you had the sound system for the wedding and the reception? Or you just used the IPOD for the reception?

Oh good point Jilly!
Since we had 41 people, I think we needed it the way our chairs were set up.

Sound system for ceremony, then they connected our ipod to the sound system which was rated per hour during the reception.

Thank you! we used claudia rodriguez's studio. We were supposed to have Citlalli, but she got really sick the night before our wedding so we had another guy, I don't remember his name, but he was one of her associate photographers.

we used a docking station, but we only had 25 people. I think Paula had around 40 and said it worked well also.

If you're having a group bigger than that I would probably get a DJ

I will have between 30-40 so it should work fine. Did it cost a lot extra for Claudia's staff to do the photography?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
