I dont know if they got my inquiry or if my request is lost somewhere out on the web :)

Also, how do I earn points so that I can open up attachments. I have seen some pretty cool ideas for the OOT bags and lots of info on the dreams packages but I can not open any attachments.

Hi Diana, You need to post as much as possible baisically to earn your points for opening attachments, I am also a 2009 bride, (Nov 2009) I am in contact with Daniella @ Dreams, her email is - weddings1@dreamscancun.com.mx I know from previous brides that if your wedding is still a way off they tend to take their time getting back to you, If you stress in your email that you want to make sure you get a specific date, i'm sure she will get back to you sooner, good luck ! x

Hi Kristi, this is something I've been thinking about recently, we are having the ultimate package which does include a photographer but I'm thinking of having an outside photographer as we would like something a little more in depth but it depends on what the costs of all the extras are going to add up to. The amount of guests are adding up too, more and more people are booking which is great but after the 20 people in the package you have to pay a price pp extra for bothe the meal and the cocktail hr, (I think we've got about 30 or so @ the mo) I've got some info on Claudia R who Paul had and a few other brides and another photographer Micheal Maurus, both look stunning. I think we are having the cocktail hr on the garden area and the sit down meal on the terrace or the Tower Lobby reception as there is somwhere to dance therefore not needing to pay extra for the dance floor, What are you thinking of doing ?? We use Citlalli of Claudia R as well as her videographer and were very pleased. She took over 500 pictures (we hired her for 8hrs) and sent us an album of the best shots and then a CD with all the pictures she had taken for us to make our own copies. I'd highly recommend her. As far as the videographer goes, I thought this was an unnecessary cost but my husband insisted. It was one of the best splurges we did. We've watched it so many times i can't count. They did an amazing job

Wow! That's great that you already have 30 people! Your right it does add up though. From what I've seen so far..I might have cocktails and dancing outside on the terrace and dinner inside...I heard it gets windy. I really can't decide on what package to do...we were going to go with the ultimate package. But now I'm not sure..if we have someone else do the pics and video I may just go with the silver package...we don't really need the live music during the cocktail hr...and we'll just get massages during our honeymoon. So with that extra $ we can put it towards other things. What are you doind for your music? I can't decide if I want to do the sound system or the DJ....Do you know if someone controls the sound system or are we on our own..probably on our own....

did you book a suite or a regular room..are you staying at the same resort for your hm or are you going somewhere else?

That's awesome you started planning so early..and this forums great....so much info!

We are using the included photographer. I have seen his work and liked it. But for the TTD we are using Cecilia Dumas, very excited!

The starfish for the bouquet can be found in a few placese. Here is one website..

Bouquet Jewels - Unique Bouquets for Unique Brides

Just type in bouquet jewels and a few other sites should come up

We are doing our reception on the beach for sure! We cant wait to dance by the water!

Hi there, would you mind telling me what you paid for both the photographer and the videographer?, my email is - jodey.williams@tsubaki.co.uk if you would rather email me, I think this is quite a big issue with alot of brides, not knowing wether to pay the extra and have an outside person, especially when we all hace budgets to stick to, I know mine has gone way out already !! And at the end of the day memories and photos are all we have left, thanks x

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
