I am new in here, I am getting married on Aug 31st 2013 ohh just a few months left. I am so nervous. I have a few questions please help me.

Ruby is my wedding coordinator, she said If I bring my sashes they will charge 2dlsfor each one (for set Up), well everytime I ask for soemthing to add, they want to charge me for extra everything :(. Do you guys think is better to get outside Wedding Coordinator?

They charge taxes like almost 28% for everything too :(. I got my DJ and Dancing Floor from outside vendor, even with the 150 dls you have to pay for outside vendor fee is like 600dls cheaper.

If someone got a outside wedding coordinator can you please pass me the info. Thnka you :)

Congratulations to all!!!!

What DJ are you using? The hotels prices are ridiculous

I agree with the hotel prices. OUT OF CONTROL. Many suggest using an outside vendor even though you have to pay the fees, it will still save you money.

Hi I'm getting married in November 2013 and I am so confused on what I should do about the package? I'm wondering if any of you brides have done a la carte instead of the package? I ask this because I feel like I am upgrading everything and also want to use an outside photographer other than the dreams one. I just don't know what to do anymore and I feel like I'm not getting help or clean answers from my wedding Cordinator. Any advise ill take thank you!

Hello Sashakristine,

Don't worry I was in the exact same position as you were! I upgraded a lot and decided to just a la carte everything and bring a lot of my own decorations which saved me a ton! I hired an outside photographer and videographer and brought my own gifts, chair sashes, linens, centerpieces and even brought my own bouquet. If you need any help please don't hesitate to reach out to me I know how stressful things can be and all the advice I got on this forum was really a big help for me. I posted pictures on this string if you scroll back a page or two you can see pictures from my wedding. My email is Jennifer.Lopez@mortechmfg.com

Good idea. It will save you money, headache, and a blood test :) I am doing the same before our ceremony in Cancun.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
