I am not sure about the cake topper....justask Daniella or Claudia and they should respond quickly.

I think the standard centerpiece is a hurricane with shells and a candle.....I may be wrong though. I am just doing a floral centerpiece.

You live in Round Lake? that is like 5 minutes from me!!!

Hi Cassondra,

We're hopfully booking next week for Nov 2009 but I have struggled getting a commitment from TA's as the rates are not out yet and I'm soooo impatient !
I suppose I am taking a chance as I might get a better deal if I waited but my friends and family are wanting to get booked so they know where they are, When in the summer are you thinking of going ?

hello all....

i actually just got married at the dreams on january 5th. it was beautiful, and everything i had imagined it would be! we worked with daniella, and she was awesome.

as for the sound system, they do run it, and daniella was cueing them on when to change the songs via walkie talkie. they also had all the music we wanted already, so we didnt have to give her a cd.

the sound system is also loud so you can hear everything!

we used a dj, and honestly, didnt need to. it was a waste of money. the dance floor, was totally worth it, because we had our reception in the grass. overall everything went well. it was a little windy but nobody cared. :-)

One of the dates available for me wasn't friday the 13th, but it was the 13th, and I didn't like that date, I know seems silly!

They do weddings everyday.

we booked almost a year ahead of time and the seem to be much busier with weddings now then they were when we were booking, so I'm sure dates book up quick.

As far as a cake topper, depending on what you get for a cake, there is room for one, I forgot ours in our room, I didn't see it in the bag and never realized until the next day when I found it that I had forgotten about it!

I'm just curious as to why you felt you didn't need the dj. I am getting married there on the 25th and we did hire the dj for the reception. We have 50 people and I didn't want to deal with running the whole Ipod thing. Was it because you had a smaller party?

Did you play a song during your sand ceremony? Could I have any more questions?lol
I can't resist a question I can answer precisely. I checked the timecode on Susan's wedding at Dreams Cancun and it took 1 minute 20 seconds for her to walk the entire aisle. From the ramp behind the pool to the alter.

Hi Everyone! Just got through reading most of these posts and I feel so better informed! I am getting married at Dreams Cancun on November 20, 2008 and I am so happy to hear every one's positive reviews who have already done so. Not to mention answers to most of my questions and awesome tips. Congratulations to those who just recently got married!

I am probably most concerned still about the weather in November and the reception site. I know that SusanK said she had hers on the terrace and had dancing so I would love to know how that went. I think I will have about 35-40 guests. If TiffJT can PM me the 2008 menu/price list that would be great! Look forward to hearing how Paula's wedding goes...

Also, we have a few DJ's in our wedding party so I won't hire one but I was unclear from the pricing: it looked like it was $180 an hour for just the equipment--UNREAL! I hope I interpreted that wrong.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
