Dreams Cancun - Questions for those married here!

Recommended Posts

I have the complimentary package because I am not having the reception at the resort and I will have about 50 guest.  If you get the price list, the pdf, it has the cost of everything.  It's for 10 people for the champagne but you can just purchase another bottle, etc.

I will not be serving champagne as I don't want to buy 4 extra bottles when my guest can go the bar.

This has saved me quite a bit of money and if you only have 15 guest, it might make sense for you.

I was at Dreams Cancun last week. I stayed in the Club Jacuzzi Suite. So if anybody has any non-wedding related resort questions I would be glad to answer those.

While we were there my boyfriend(now fiance) proposed. We have decided to get married there in September 2014.

We are having a tough time deciding if it would be worth the money to get a package. I like it simple and there will not be too many people, so I was considering the complimentary package. Did anybody get this one? If so was it nice?

Also, I'm thinking I will have about 15 guests. I'm not concerned about a dinner at all so i think I would be okay with the complimentary package. My only question is, will they let me do this with 15 guests? It says wedding cake and champagne for 10 guests. So could I still have 15 guests and only 10 get wedding cake and champagne?

if anybody has any information about this or any of the packages it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I know its crazy how fast the time is flying !  to get the guest counter I just edited my signature at the bottom of my profile :) Everything is all done except for the menus, programs and welcome brochures. I do have them ready to print, just waiting for the final guest count. My mom and I have been online shopping for all the stuff since last nov, so I feel like we are pretty prepared. Still waiting to hear from claudia, was told she would be contacting me soon but nothing yet. Getting antsy to pick out flowers and go over everything with her haha

Does anyone know if the photographer from the resort has a website to look at their pictures? Also, I have the Ultimate package and it says it comes with 50 full color photos and 1 album. Anyone who had or has the same package and went with the resort photographer do you know exactly what this means? Do they give you a CD with the 50 photos etc? Also, does this include pictures from the ceremony, cocktail, and reception? Thanks so much!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
