Tell me about it !! Thats exactly what I'm talking about ! So what is your itinerary going to be regarding where your staying and for how long? I'm just thinking that by doing it your way would solve alot of problems but could it end up costing alot more money ?

Everyone in our group kind of did their own stuff, but it was nice that the resort was small enough that we constantly ran into people and it was easy to find people, we loved it, I only wish everyone could have stayed longer!
Sounds like it all went well with your family and friends, How lond were you all staying together in the same resort ? I did origionally think about having the legal ceromony at home but for me I think it might take some of the excitment away, did you feel just as excited knowing that you were already married ?

I thought it might take away some of the excitement too, but it didn't AT
ALL!

I was so nervous and excited on our wedding day, it was as real as it gets.

We arrived at the resort on Tuesday, got married on Friday and everyone, except us, went home on Sunday, we left dreams on sunday and moved to El Dorado Royale for 5 more nights.

How was the weather in October ? We're thinking of booking for Novemebr but some TA seem to be trying to put us off as they say its the back end of their rainy season? The weather looks fab on your wedding photo ! Hey also noticed you have a "sick" face, are you not well ?

October is part of hurricane season, but when it rains there, it seems to be pretty quick, like it would rain for 10 minutes in the morning or late afternoon, nothing major. We actually had the best day of the whole week weather wise, it was gorgeous!

Yes, I've been feeling sick since last week, at first I didn't know what you meant, haha, I had to think about it for a minute. I'm starting to feel better today though, thanks for asking!

oh one more thing. I started checking the weather on weatherchannel.com about a month before my wedding, and I swear everyday said RAIN!! Talk about giving me a heat attack!! But it barely rained the whole time we were there and the couple of other girls I talked to that were there right before us said the same thing, the weather was beautiful!

Yes we did take our IPOD and we bought a docking station.

Someone asked me about our docking station earlier in an email and I couldn't remember what kind it was.

Okay, we bought the altec lansing-in motion, recommended by christa.

We thought it worked out great, we had our reception on the terrace and we had a small group so it was plenty loud enough and our friends totally helped us out with it, pausing it during speeches, fast forwarding to a song they wanted, etc.... We had 25 ppl, I think, so I didn't see the need to spend money for a DJ. If we'd had a larger group I would have gotten a DJ.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
