I would really recommend NOT doing this with so little time before your wedding.  Many brides caution against shipping any items to your resort because customs in Mexico (any country really) is known for holding up shipments for days or even weeks - so there is a chance your items won't even arrive at the resort until after your wedding.  The extra baggage (and associated airline fees) are a big pain, but at least you will know for sure that the items will be there when you need them.

Does anyone know if we can bring silk rose petals for the reception tables?

I know they won't allow fake rose petals for the ceremony aisle because they could blow into ocean and become litter.  However, I am not sure if they have the same rules for the reception tables.  I am sure if you are inside then you can bring anything you want, but out on the beach there is still the chance they could blow into the water (and a chance they wouldn't stay on the table long enough to make a good decoration).

I hope u did not ship the items because you will not get them for your wedding. It literally took 1 month for my postcards to arrive when I mailed them from Mexico and I have heard of customs not allowing some shipments through.

I have a question. Can you bring Sashes, Runners, Tablecloths & Napkins with you? Is there a charge for them to put them on?

I really want to do Hot Pink Linens with Orange Runners & Napkins BUT, I don't want to pay $20 per tablecloth, $3 per napkins ect.
I can order it online much cheaper :(

Hmmm that seems so ridiculous to me. I really hope they don't charge you to do this. You pay a lot to have your wedding there. Claudia did not charge me to set up my menu cards and star fish place settings. Email her and ask her. I also found if you right down a list of questions and call down to Mexico it is worth it and I almost always get her on the phone when I call.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
