Dreams Cancun - Questions for those married here!

Recommended Posts

Hello  Ladies: For some people  the cake is very important ,some other consider  it  non important ...Claudia  the WC at Dreams was very nice to called me, she had a bride that really want  a  pretty and elegant cake ...we just deliver onw  with Orang flavor and  chocolate filling.

Claudia explained me that the pastry  in the resort is very limited  they dont  have  an specialized  chef  for wedding cakes ...they are focus in dessrts and  all the other things that need for the hotel.

She is super nice  and doesnt charge  vendor  fee or something like that. She trsut  that the cake will be done  , good taste  and deliver  on time.

Check below one of the cakes that we made:

Everything edible!!

we will be getting married at home the day before we leave, and then flying out on friday, getting married on weds. We return for about a month an a half and then renting a hall for the ATR for most of our friends and family that couldn't make it. We will be partying away the same night on different sides of the world msnparty.gif

:) Yaya soo excited!

i will post a full review soon. just swamped at work. The professional pictures didn't come out too well, completely nothing to do with the efforts of the team. They were GREAT but my guests attacked us (45 people!!!) when we came in and we only ended up with 10 minutes of professional shots after the wedding. During the wedding the winds were so bad that in most of my pictures i looked like i was on a jet ski! Since we only had a few minutes most of the shots we had to choose from were from the windy ceremony. My guests pictures were good though, we were inside for our reception and I can't tell you how fortunate we were that we had chosen to do it inside from the beginning!

i saw a reception on the beach and it was sooo beautiful that we almost changed our minds.

I have to say that whatever cake they gave us, i think it was vanilla was AMAZING! it had some sort of cream in it and it was possibly the best cake i had ever tasted. The desserts in this place are simply to die for. And don't forget to have a multicereal cookie while you are there... all my lady guests got hooked on them, for reasons I won't mention here ;-)

We brought custom made M&Ms with our pictures on them and our doggies. They were a hit! everyone loved them and they weren't too expensive. We also went to the mall and bought sombreros and maracas for the reception and our guests had a great time with them. Everyone took pics and took them home too.

Bringing pictures is a GREAT idea! my guests didn't know the difference and everything looked beautiful anyway.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
