Dreams Cancun - Questions for those married here!

Recommended Posts

Hi Ladies!

I'm getting married at Dreams Cancun on July 9th. You girls have been so helpful as I have been planning my big day. I read that some of you bought your own chair sashes. How did that work with Dreams? Do you just have to pay a set up fee or what? Any advice would help!

Thanks,

Amber

From what I have read previously, if you bring chair sashes, table runners, and/or napkins they will put them out for free.  You would just give them to the wedding coordinator at your meeting a couple of days prior to the wedding.

To the previous brides that got married at Dreams Cancun,

What did you guys do about reception dinner? Did you pay for a reception dinner at dreams? Or did you simply go early and ask for tables? (i read some forums but just wanted to get more info on this) I went to a dreams wedding in DR an the bride went early to a restaurant and requested table for about 50 guests and it was no problem.  But, it might be different here in Cancun? Since there are fewer restaurants?

And to the brides that are getting married soon,

what are you going to do? lol

thanks in advance!

just 1 more month till i get married!!!!! :)))

Hi Mich1011

I paid for a rehearsal dinner and i don't regret it. It was personal and private which is what I wanted. Some people do ask for early reservations but I didn't want to deal with that. Good luck hope it helps.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
