Thank you so much Wilsom12... you posted more than enough!!!:0):0) I think I want it there since it looks more private than the rest of the locations. Your cocktail hour started at 7pm? reception started at 8pm? We have our cocktail hour at 6pm and reception at 7pm... I am hoping we can get the Spa Terrace since its only an hour earlier.

The spa terrace is located near the pier. Check out the Resort Map, the terrace is next to the tennis courts and behind the "outdoor spa cabins":

So, the spa terrace is basically surrounded on 3 sides. The 4th side that faces the ocean has a low wall that you can see over. It overlooks the outdoor massage areas (little palapa type things) then the ocean. It was dark by the time we had our reception at 8pm, so you couldn't see the ocean anyways. I think technically you could see it though if you start your reception during the day.

And finally, here is the best picture I can find to show you where the spa terrace is.

 

 

The main building is where World Cafe and the Check-in desk is located. In the ocean, you can see the pier. The large building behind it is Oceana. The lagoon and pool are just out of the picture on the right side. Where the arrow is, you can see some tall light poles. That is where the tennis court is located, and the spa terrace is next to it.

Hi Ladies,

I am new to this forum and WOW! Almost every question I was going to ask has been answered. (I went many pages back). I am excited to see all the Dreams Cancun Brides. I am getting married there Sunday June 12, 2011. I wanted Saturday the 11th but it was taken. I was very stressed in the beginning planning this thing because the delay/lack of response from Cecilia. But we have since booked and I relaxed a little. A wonderful bride on here sent me a full review with pictures and all of her experience, it really helped put me at ease. I am still a little nervous about a couple things on here but I think that just goes with planning a wedding in another country.

To all past brides,

Did any of you have any issues with mosquitoes? Especially on the beach around 7pm and on?

I'm thinking of having candles on the tables, but worried that the light will attract the mosquitoes.  I had a bad experience with that at another person wedding in Dominican republic.
