Did you make the frames or did you get them there. Did you put the center pieces together or did you pick all that out over there?  Its a gorgeous set up. pinkie.gif

Oh wow!!!  That is sooo pretty @muitoquerida!!!  How much of these decorations did you bring yourself?  I'm so nervous about having pretty decorations, but everyones pictures look amazing.  I'm just unsure of what everyone brings with them vs. what Dreams provides.  Does anyone have any guidance to offer!??!

I have spa terrace pictures in my review: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/61433/melissa-s-wilsoml2-dreams-cancun-7-2-2010-wedding-review

We didn't have Juan stay for our reception (wish we had!), so the pictures are pretty dark. It was awesome though since it was very private. The spa closes in the evening, so no one walked through or anything. I loved having it there.  We had 37 people (4 tables + sweetheart table) and I think there was room for a few more tables, but it might get a bit tight with more than 6. We had plenty of space for dancing. Here's the spa during the day:

I am debating on having my reception at the Spa Terrace or Lobby Terrace. I would like to know if anyone can post any pictures of the Spa Terrace? Does anyone know where it is located and how it could accommodate 50 guests,  including a dance area?

In regards to the Lobby Terrace, does anyone have any photos of a wedding there. I looked at photos, but none of them had it decorated for a wedding.

I appreciate your help!! Thank you!

Hi! I bought them at the dollar store and added bling to them. I bought the vases at walmart in cancun for $10 each. The seashells are from micheals and the bling i got from walmart in the wedding section. Walmart is $20 cab ride from the hotel (15 minutes) and it's right next to CostCo as well! There is also a market in walking distance from the hotel (2 blocks) where you can buy maracas ($1)and souvernirs for your guests or reception.I put maracas in the welcome bags. Hope this helps!!

Thank you so much for sharing your pictures. The pictures are beautiful :0) I looks great. Cecelia is giving me a hard time because I had "beach" in the contract. I hope this can be changed.

Thank again!

Thank you so much for sharing your special day with us! You look so beautiful and your decor was so pretty. I am also planning to have seashells at my wedding for the decor. The seashell you purchase from Micheal's are from the state correct?  I was afraid of clearing custom with the shell. So you didnt have a problem with that?

WARNING!! PHOTO & VIDEO AT DREAMS CANCUN

For more than 7 years the AM Resorts including Dreams Cancun, had as Wedding photography supplier (Juan Navarro) and as Wedding video supplier (cancunweddingvideo), with whom they worked with a great quality, always with great comments and recommendations from all the couples that were assigned to them by the Dreams Wedding department, and form the other resorts from AM Resorts (Secrets Silversands, Dreams Riviera, Secrets Maroma, Secretas Capri, Now Jade y Now Sapphire) they were collaborating in a very important way for creating a prestige to these hotels.

As of February 1st, and with any prior notification, Cancunweddingvideo was informed that he was no longer supplier for Dreams Cancun.

The company that was hired for covering this service, was dedicated to corporate and commercial video, it was NEVER dedicated to any social video, and this has been noticed in the quality of their video, as of today they have done 8 weddings at Dreams Cancun, and they have had to refund the money of 3 weddings.

As of March 14, Mr. Juan Navarro was informed that he was no longer supplier of Dreams Cancun, the company that was hired for covering the wedding photography is the same that takes the photography at the pool. This will make that the quality of the wedding photography will be decreasing.

Unfortunately this dispositions will be reflected in the rest of the hotels of AM Resorts.

We write this to warn you, please as a bride to be, demand that you have the same quality of photography and video that you deserve.

Here are the links of the sites of the previous and the actual suppliers of photography and video. Make your own judgement.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
