Dreams Cancun - Questions for those married here!

Recommended Posts

Hi! We are getting married at the gazebo - I want to put silk flowers on the carpet leading to the gazebo....Has anyone done this? I guess my question is, is it too windy? Will they just blow away?

Also, we reserved the honeymoon suite, any idea what this room looks like? I can't find much info on it....

Thanks a bunch!!!

i am trying to pic a restaurant to have my rehearsal dinner at - she sent me menus from all the places (oceana, himatsu, and the other one) - any suggestions past dreams guests???  its alot to look at and since i have never been there i have no idea what would be the best choice!!!

also - how many restaurants are there at Dreams?  i know theres buffet, and the three i mentioned above- but isn't there a restaurant onsite that isn't included in the all inclusive (ie: you have to pay for your dinner)??? just wondering.

Also, i would like to know the answer to the question above about silk flower petals on the aisle! I love the look of having tons of flower petals but thought her price per bag was pretty outrageous (i think it was like 25$ or something) and i would have to have a ton of them!

Good question - I assumed the answer was 8, but that would possibly do 6 for you if you asked.  Past brides, does that sound right?  I plan on buying a few extra table runners so there can be one on the cake table, one on an escort card table (if we have enough guests to justify escort cards), etc.

I wonder if they will even let you do silk flowers, because if they blow away they could blow into the ocean - so in effect you would be littering into the ocean.  I have heard a few brides on here mention freeze dried rose petals - so they would still be okay for the environment.

I know you cant have fake petals because its bad for the birds . I also liked the petals on the aisle.  I dont know if we could have real ones by the way she told me its realy windy.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
