I have heard other girls say that they have brought a photographer and it has been fine. If you bring them they are your guests so I dont think they can even say anything!! We have Cecilia Dumas so I think her and Claudia dont like each other or something! Its just so frusterating because Claudia wont even email me back and tell me whats going on!!!!

I really feel your pain!! It is absolutely ridiculous that they take weeks to get back to you. I just spoke to my travel agent and she said this is a major problem at Dreams!! Also if you don't use the photographer make sure they give you a credit. I heard one bride is getting a $300 credit for not using the photographer that comes in her package!

Ladies we are bringing a photographer from home. Paying for his stay at the hotel and airfare. Cecilia told me it would not be a problem. Honestly I dont see how they could even say no. If they are staying at the hotel and want to take pictures of you and video who is going to stop them... Im pretty sure Cecilia and Claudia will not be runnign around blocking them from taking pics.

This is absurd....I would call the resort and speak to her. What is good for one bride should be good for another bride.

Cecilia Dumas is a local wedding photographer (local to Cancun/Riviera Maya), so I am guessing they aer trying to pull some sort of outside vendor crap.  I thought the rule was that they could come to the resort as long as you paid an outside vendor fee (I thought that was ~$100, but I could be mistaken).

i just signed a contrat for a local photographer to travel with me - so he will be staying at the hotel.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
